Lost prince

Episode 1

EARTH: dimension 809

Min Cha Sun POV:

It was an unpredictable day for us. We have never thought that we lose our newborn baby like this in an hour. The doctors told us he had the cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator (CFTR). His death happened when the doctors were taking him for the newborn screening. My wife (Solu) was in the ICU because she loosed so much blood. And here, I was at the edge of losing everything I ever got in my entire life. I wanted to cry my heart out, but I needed to be a strong person. So, I prayed to God to help me.

After fifteen minutes (which feels like a decade), I see a nurse heading towards me. I stood up without any emotion but helplessness. She told me to go to the doctor's office. That doctor is my childhood friend (name: HAN JAE LI). He knows me better than I know myself.

I opened the door without any hesitation. JAE-LI glanced at me while reading some files and said " She is doing better than earlier. Do not worry because she is in safe hands." He stood up from his chair and put the file on the table which he was holding." You can take her home after four to five days. And I am so sorry for the baby we could not save him." He paused for a moment while looking at me then said" You should have taken some rest. Look at yourself! Rest here for a while. I will wake you up when she gains consciousness. Ok?"

I know that I would not be able to sleep, so does he. I just wanted to see Solu in front of me. So, that she cannot go anywhere. After some time, I said to him " I want to see her even from some distant place. Please! You know I would not be able to sleep peacefully. Can you help me with this? He got stunned for a little, but then he held my hand and took me to the ICU area.

After few minutes of him explaining to his supervisor, he held my hand once again and dragged me to the door of her ward, and told me that I could only stand here for a maximum of five to ten minutes. But I could not concentrate on his words because I was busy watching Solu on the bed. She was under observation and seemed pale. So, I just looked at her with all my heart until Jae-li came to take me back to his office.

I rested for a while there and woke up when Jae-li told me that Solu got conscious. I went to see her in the ward for ten minutes. I console her and tell her that everything is going to be alright. Then, we only talked about happy moments in life because we both were not emotionally stabled right now. I did not want to make things difficult for her. Both of us were so sad because we loosed someone.

For the next five days, the doctors kept her under observation. We did not talk that much. OH! Sorry! I forget to tell you that I am a baker and have a shop in the Buk District, Daegu. It is running steadily. On the fifth day's evening, it was drizzling outside. She got a lot better than we got permission to take her home.

When we reached home at dinner time. Dinner was already prepared by Granny (our dearest neighbor). We thanked her so much, and she told us to have patience and believe in God that he did this for some particular purpose; that is out of our minds. Solu feels much better to having dinner and chatting with her.

When I glance at her on the dinner table, her muscles seem to be relaxed. After dinner, I told granny to talk with her and leave the rest of the work on me. Granny nodded at me with a pure smile. I started to do the dishes and all of the stuff.

When I had done with my work, I went to the bedroom. I opened it and saw that Solu was heading to the bed. I ask her if she has taken her medicine. She told me that she had not taken them because she could not find them and I was busy in the kitchen. I remembered that her medics were in the car, so I told her and went to fetch them.

When I came back, she was sitting on the bed's edge, zoning out. I called her three to five times, but she did not hear me. Then I went near her "hey! Are u alright?" she did not look at me "Y-Yeah!... I am fine." And there I got the signal that she was not okay, and about to burst...... I kneeled to look into her eyes, and there you go; I was right. She got tears in them, and I was about to because she is my life. I hugged her tightly and said "hey! I am here for you. Just cry all you want." And there she starts crying and telling me how she feels (depressed, sad, helpless, etc.)

I listened to her. One hour after listening to her, I gave her the medicines. Then we went to sleep while cuddling. When she was sounds asleep, I kissed her forehead and dozed off.

I woke up to the scary and loud voice of the thunder. First, l glanced at Solu, who was sleeping like a cute puppy. I smiled at her adorable presence. Suddenly, I rose from bed to fetch some water. When I went to the kitchen, I saw the windows opened in the living room. I rushed to close them. That was the time when I saw something big in the yard. I went to it (my task of shutting the windows was so far from my mind). It was a space shuttle.
