"Stop!" Was the useless cries pleading the monster to stop from somewhere within. A blonde mage neared her friend that had changed. From the bright cheerful and careless -free carelessness not stupid, at times- to dark and sinister. The pink hair stayed the same. Though horns came out of his head. Instead of bright eyes that held happiness and joy. Where eyes of dark and evil aura was held in them. White was replaced with red the color turned black and shrunk in size.

The blonde mage neared him with caution. She did not want to startle him and have him go on a ruckus. Though two other mages did just that.

A black haired mage and a red haired mage. "Oi, Flame brain!" Yelled the black haired mage. The pink haired man sent a snarl at him and attacked him with sharp claws. The black haired mage counted the hairs on his head. "Did you really just try to kill me?"

The horned male only smirk happily in a evil way. "Gray." The red haired girl called the black haired male.

'Stop!' Was the cry that went unheard to all, but, one. A pink haired mage who's eyes were bright and caring. Horns did not come out of his head. He was within himself. That monster that is hurting his friends -his- family. It had pulled him in and took over. He always new of the darker side within. At times this darker side fought with him. Gave him more power to protect those close to him.

This time however. The darker side completely took over.

Taring at the two mages he seemed to enjoy himself. "Erza!" The blonde mage cried as she saw her fall. The pink haired male posed for the final attack.

"Stop!"

She got his attention when had she yelled at him. Seeing the attention shift she ran. As long as her friends did not get hurt she did not care.

His already large smile grew as he chased her ignoring the cries Grey made by Erza's side holding his own. His light side's most precious person. The fear that normally flow from was not there this time. Or it does not feel the same.

She ran as fast as she could. She could not believe the sight. Her friend attacked the others. She should fear for her life. But, she does not. At least not in that way. Running and running her lungs burned, her legs burned, and her feet told her to stop. Yet she continued to run.

Feeling his breath on top of her she tried to gain more speed. The quest already took a lot from her. Now she was running for her life not gaining much more speed.

"You are not going anywhere." He said as he grab her wrist pulling her close. "Nastu." She whispered. Her voice did not quaver in fear. It was quiet for the shock she was given. She showed no fear of any type. Natsu as she named him stood there towering over her. Which gave the blonde something to ponder about. It was not like she was short. Nor was he really that tall. She did not flinch as his hand neared her face. He ran his scaling fingers through her hair. Catching a few strands he lift them up to his face. Enjoying the scent that came off of the hair. Oh, how he wanted to play with her. Oh, how her screams would sound.

Somewhere in the inside of this beast that held her. The real Natsu the side that new the blonde well, the side she called for. "Lucy!" Natsu yelled at the top of his lungs. Soon his voice broke he could no longer yell for his friend. The one that is searching for him in that monster's eyes. Those eyes that were his as well. Tears fell he could not do anything.

The monster let go of her hair and brought it to her chin. How should he play with her were his thoughts that echoed within. "Enough!" A broken horse cry let out as he watched this. Not only could he see what he sees. He heard what he thought.

Now his light side was annoying him. He approached the light side with his grin of malice. The two then fought for dominance.

Though fighting his light he still had enough control over the body. Forcing her body to the ground he hovered over her. "You are not fighting. It is no fun when you don't fight."

With his hands by her head and her's free. She cautiously reached for her whip. Without breaking eye contact she grabbed her whip. Without breaking eye contact he grabbed her whip.

"Naha, don't do it." Nearing her face he tore the whip out of her hand. The other hand grab her keys. Both threw the items away from the reaches of the blonde.

He pushed her into the ground holding her neck. His smile widened as she squirmed under his hold. Letting go when she was tired enough to stop resisting. He clawed her stomach shallow yet deep enough to bring out blood. Her whines in pain only got him to continue.

He went from stomach to legs. From legs to her arms. Anywhere that showed skin was his scratching post.

'Lucy!' He yelled in a cracked voice. The good Natsu trying even hard now to save her. Beating the living day light of the darker side.

Tired with clawing her, tired of playing with her. He decided it was time to end it. Holding her neck with both hands he pushed and tightened his hold.

Tired as is, she tried to remove his hands. She tried kicking him. But, he was sitting on her hips and she was worn out from being choked earlier. Tears finally started to fall. She moved her hands from his wrists to his face. Cupping his face and giving the warm smile she normally would -as best as she could.

The red went white just in time to see her close her eyes. Quickly he moved his hands away from her neck. Putting his hands on either side of her. 'Was I in time?' 'I wasn't on time!' Were the thoughts that went through his head as he eyed her in worry.

Gently he laid on her. His horns turned to stubs. His scaly skin was back to softer skin. Not like his skin was soft in the first place. It was nothing like her's though. "Lucy." He mumbled.

Thinking back to when they first met. Lucy bought total strangers food Natsu and the blue cat Happy. Bringing her to the guild FairyTail. Though he did not really show it. He was happy about her getting her guild mark. When Phantom Lord came in and attacked the guild and kidnapping Lucy at the same time. His world would have shattered if Phantom Lord won.

He freaked out in the inside when she turned to stone. He wanted to beat up Evergreen right then and there when she was turn to stone. The battle with Oracion Sies she fought on. Not giving up. 'She never gave herself enough credit.' Smiling at his thought from the memories that came up.

Then the memories of the great magic games came up. Twice was she hurt, twice was she greatly wounded. The second time he would have pounded in Sabertooth. If it was not for the referee and judges.

Thinking back to when future Lucy died. Back when the dragons attacked at the end of the great magic games. 'Was Lucy meant to die in the end?' If not by Rogue but by him. He promised he would take her on more quests. Yet it feels like he promised her death. Tears feel as the beating of his heart grew.

Ezra and Gray found the two in the meadow laying there. Natsu lay gently on top of Lucy. Ezra put a hand on Gray to stop him from killing Natsu. Looking back at her with a confused expression. Did she tell him to be quiet and listen.

The two sat down quietly listening to the heartbroken sobs of their friend. "Nat-" Ezra was stopped by Gray knowing this was not a good time.

Still crying for his friend Natsu touched Lucy's hand that held her guild mark. At least her mark is still on her hand.

His tears fell, her tears fell, his tears fell, she did not breath.

Time past and tears could no longer flow out.

Time past and the guild FariyTail began to wonder. What happened to the strongest teem. Contacting the client whom sent the request.

Time past and the client replied. Saying only a blue cat came to warn us. Then left back to where his friends are. The same cat returned and only two mages return for the night.

Natsu did not feel the hand with the pink guild mark upon his head. She finally woke up hazed and dazed.

She saw the change in his eyes before she blacked out. She ran her fingers through Natsu's hair. Causing the pink haired male to stir. He looked at the blonde with a slight shock on his face. She gave him a warm smile. He could no longer hold it.

Tears fell again and he clasped her in a passionate kiss filled with sorrow, regret, and longing.

She did not deny him the kiss. She too returned it with similar feelings.
