"Oh no! Poor little Naruto..", Mikoto placed a hand on her cheek and tilted her face with worry. "Sasuke honey you are so sweet for taking care of him! Hehe, I know about that crush!~", she squealed and balled her fists on her chest.
"Moooom! Not so loud!", he shushed her and pushed her out of Naruto's bedroom. "Thank you for the soup mother..", he said and gave Mikoto a light hug. Her cashmere sweater rubbed softly on him.
"Alright honey, when Naruto gets better invite him over! It must be so lonely in this house!", she pouted her lips and crossed her arms. "Yes yes.", he chuckled at his mother's childishness. Naruto would do that all the time.
"Well I'll head out now!", she grinned and left. Sasuke yawned and closed the door. It had been a very long day, so much socializing..
"Sa.. suke!~", Naruto whined from upstairs. Sasuke walked up the stairs, three steps a time and opened the creaking door. Naruto was sitting up with a grin on his face. "Hey! I feel so much better after so many hours of sleep! And I smell something delicious!", he said excitedly and removed the blankets.
He quickly covered himself with them after realizing he still had his boxers on. Only his boxers. "Was I like this the whole time?-", he squeaked out in embarrassment.
Sasuke laughed causing Naruto to turn pink. "It's okay, we're both guys.", he smirked, Naruto didn't trust that smirk and eyed him with a suspicion glare.
Sasuke tossed him an orange shirt that had ramen on it and black short shorts that would hug his ass rather nicely. He huffed and went to the closet and grabbed orange sweats causing Sasuke to pout slightly.
"Right, my mother came a while ago and brought chicken soup for you. It's downstairs on the counter, do you want-"
"Yes I do!", he grinned and flew down the stairs with such giddiness that made it seem impossible that he just recovered from a fever. Sasuke couldn't help but chuckle at his hyper ness and turned off the bedroom light.
Walking down the stairs, he slid his hand down the railing wondering about the house. He asked questions he wouldn't get answers to. How were Naruto's parents and how did Naruto live in such a dusty home before? Did he often get lonely? He should visit more if the blonde still decides to stay.
When he turns the corner he sees Naruto stirring a bowl of his mother's chicken soup with a spoon on the counter. "How is it?", he asks and sits on the stool beside him.
"It's amazing Sasuke! I wish I had a mom that could cook this awesome..", he laughed softly, still staring at the swishing vegetables.
"I'm sure your mom cooked this well.", Sasuke said under his breath and rubbed Naruto's hair softly. "You are in need of a shower.", Sasuke's lips turn into a straight line. "Mu!", he huffs stubbornly.
"Mu?..", he asks but gets no answer. "I hate showers! I'm alone in there and I hate being alone. It makes me think..", Naruto mumbled. "Sometimes I feel the same.", Sasuke says and puts the container of chicken soup inside the fridge for later.
"Hey, maybe we should shower together!", he jokes. Sasuke's eyes light up, he looks at Naruto.
—
"I was joking at first!", Naruto pouts and hands Sasuke the pouf with soap bubbles everywhere. "Heh, this is the main reason you wanted me to shower with you huh?", Sasuke chuckles and scrubs Naruto's back.
"Darn! You got me!", Naruto laughs then stops. "Hey, these past couple of days you've been laughing more than I remember you would.", Naruto smiles at Sasuke.
"It's cause of you.", he isn't afraid to say. Naruto spits out the soup and begins coughing. Sasuke fights the urge to laugh and hands his a glass of water. He gulps it down desperately and punches Sasuke's arm after.
"J-Jerk! That's your fault!", his face turns a bright shade of red and he looks away from Sasuke for a long time.
—
"Sasuke..", Naruto sits on the couch, clenching his fists and looking firmly at the ground. Right across him was Sasuke who was leaning foward and resting his chin on his hands. He stares intently at Naruto.
"I need you to answer me.", he says again. Naruto gulps nervously, his rubs his sweaty palms on his sweatpants and looks at Sasuke for a short moment.
"I don't know. A-Anywhere.. I just wanted to go anywhere. I have the money.", he says out loud, clearing his dry throat after. Although he's thirsty, he can't bring himself to drink the lemonade on the counter.
"Naruto. I'm never going to leave you.", Sasuke says and takes Naruto's hand in his. Naruto looks up with a worried face and tears threatening to fall from his sky blue eyes.
"I don't k-know that..", he mumbles, he felt something in his throat. If he said another word, the tears would spill out.
"I swear to you. I.. I honestly thought I was going to leave you. Everyone would think so right? But I knew it was wrong. I care more about you than almost everyone else. I don't know how you did it.", he offers the blonde a smile.
"D-Don't.. say that.", he croaks out. His voice trembles and so do his lips. Sasuke stands and sits down next to Naruto, giving him a hug. "I.. I'm sorry but I love you.", Sasuke whispers in his ear.
Naruto's eyes widen.
"Even if you kill someone, I would still love you.", he laughs softly.
He blinks, once then twice. Tears spill out like an endless waterfall and he can't stop. He hiccups and hugs Sasuke back just as tightly. "Don't.. don't you ever break that p-promise!", he yells out. Sobbing, letting out all his grief onto Sasuke.
Sasuke lifts his head and kisses Naruto's plump pink lips softly. He enjoys the sweet taste, he almost regrets pulling back.
"Stay with me. Me and my mom."
