Boring Project

  Sasuke groaned as Naruto spoke to him. "Idiot, no. Not my house.", he said rather rudely. "I'm not an idiot! You are!", Naruto retorted. He crossed his arms and huffed. "Ah.. well if we can't go to each other's houses why don't we go to a cafe?", Sakura suggested.

  "Oh! That's a great idea Sakura-Chan! Is anyone free at 5pm after school?", Naruto says. Everyone in the group nods. "Awesome!", he cheers.

  After talking about the websites they should look up class ended and everyone went home. Naruto went to his empty house and decided to do some homework and listen to music before he went to the cafe. It was only 3:50 after all.

  Soon enough 40 minutes passed. Naruto went to closet and took off his earphones. He grazed the clothes with his fingers and took out a bright orange shirt with a large ramen in the front. The sides said ramen in Japanese and the back had the Uzumaki clan symbol.

  He slipped on the long-sleeved shirt and grabbed black ripped jeans. He looked at himself in the mirror and smiled. "I think I look nice!", he smiled.

  Haha, right.

  Naruto frowned. "Shut up Kurama..", he mumbled and grabbed a black sweater to tie around his waist. It might get cold. He grabbed his backpack and took out the unnecessary items that made it heavy.  He left the house and walked to the cafe with his hands in his pockets.

  By the time he arrived Sai and Sakura were there. He walked over to their table and sat in a chair. "Hey guys.", he greeted. Sai smiled, creepily as always and Sakura waved.

  Sakura went to go order a drink and Naruto took out his laptop and notebook. "Hey Naruto. Do you currently like somebody?", Sai asked. Naruto looked at him and shook his head saying no. "I don't tend to catch feelings for people.", he said.

  Sai's expression did not change. Sakura came back and told them what drink she ordered them.

  "Hey.", Sasuke said. He grabbed a chair and sat next to Naruto. "Oh hey Sasuke, want me to order you something?", Sakura offered. Naruto scoffed, Sasuke was a mean guy, why was Sakura being nice? Did she still like him? No way.

  Sasuke nodded and requested a black coffee. "Hey Sasuke, you look nice.", Naruto said. Sasuke was a jerk sometimes but he had to admit he was a hot jerk. Naruto almost smacked himself, what if Sasuke wasn't hot? Would he still compliment him?

  Sasuke stayed quiet for a while then thanked him. "You look nice as well.", he said. Naruto's cheeks flushed and he looked to the side. "Th-Thanks.", he said.

  Sakura came back and opened her laptop. "Alright guys, I'll check out these websites and you guys check out these. We'll write down evidence and notes after that we'll show each other what we have written down.", she said. Everyone agreed and went to work quickly.

  Why did you blush? You don't actually think he meant it?! Pfft, oh my god this is hilarious! Nobody would compliment you, he just did it because he felt bad! Did you try to impress somebody?

  Naruto made no movement but his eyebrows furrowed. He took a deep breath and stretched his arms. "Hey, I'm going to take a break for a few minutes. I'll be back." He smiled.

  "You better be!", Sakura yelled. Naruto walked out of the cafe and took out a cigarette. He forgot he even brought it.

    Maybe that's why that guy raped you. So at least you-

  He grabbed a lighter from his pocket that he bought on the way to the cafe.

  He took a drag and smiled, he mentally thanked Shikamaru.

  "You smoke?", Naruto looked to the side and saw Sai. "You shouldn't, it's bad for your lungs.", he said. Naruto said it helped with his stress. "So you don't fuck around anymore?", Sai said. He had his hands in his jeans.

  Naruto nodded. Sai hummed in thought. "What stresses you out?", he asked. Naruto chuckled and ignored the question.

  "Well if the cigarettes can't calm you down anymore remember you have my number.", Sai said. Naruto was speechless but he nodded. Naruto thought Sai liked Ino, not him. Or maybe Sai just wanted a fuck, who knows.

  "Hey, do you think Naruto and Sai should date? I mean they make such a cute couple." She lied. She really just wanted to get Sai out of her way. Sasuke completely ignored her, although internally he responded.

  'No, not really. I look better with him.', he thought. Sakura sweat dropped and sipped her strawberry ice drink. Finally Naruto and Sai came back. Naruto sat down quietly and continued his work.

  Sasuke looked at Naruto and felt as if something was wrong. Maybe he should call his brother so they all could hang out again, Naruto seemed like he was having fun then. He looked away and grabbed his pencil to write.

    "Okay guys, that's all for today. We can share our info and take the important information another day. Good work!", Sakura smiled. Naruto nodded and bumped fists with her.

  Sakura pulled Naruto aside. "Hey, what did Sai tell you?", she whispered. Naruto shrugged, "nothing much. He asked what stressed me." Sakura frowned. She was expecting something more.

  Naruto plugged in his earphones and listened to music. Sasuke stared at him and decided to text Itachi. Naruto yawned, all the boring work had made him sleepy and tired.

  Once he arrived home he flopped in his couch and turned on the tv with the volume low. Right before he was about to sleep he received text messages but he ignored them. He was too tired to care at the moment.

  He fell asleep with drool on the side of his lips. Sleeping after doing homework was always best.
