Apollo's POV:
I was surrounding the house the whole night, hoping that the masked figure that went in, came out. I waited and waited until the sun rose. I knew that if I was seen out in public, I would be immediately killed so I ran into the woods behind the house, and hid. I was thinking about that girl I saw in the window, and why I didn't have the urge to kill her, like everyone else. She was different than the others, and I could tell she was hurting. I don't know what it was about her, but I felt like I needed to keep her safe. That was when I saw her walking in my direction.
Athena's POV:
Right as I fell asleep, my father came outside, woke me up and told me he wanted pumpkin pie for lunch. The only pumpkins that he liked were the pumpkins behind my house in the woods. I started walking to them, and thought to myself, "I still don't know what it was I saw last night, and why my father chose me to keep watch. Am I going crazy? These type of things just don't exist. They just don't!". As I started approaching the pumpkin patch, I saw a tall white figure hiding in the trees out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head to get a better look, and it was the same thing I saw last night. I dropped the basket I was holding to carry the pumpkins in, and stood there in shock.
Apollo's POV:
She stood there in disbelief. We made eye contact for the second time, and it felt like my undead heart skipped a beat. I couldn't believe my eyes. She was the most beautiful person I have ever seen in my life. Even though I could sense her fear, I wanted to get closer. I came out of my hiding spot, and slowly approached her. As I got closer, I saw more of her features. She had long brown hair, eyes darker than the night sky, and the most beautiful face shape. I went and stood directly in front of her. I reached my hand out, hoping she would reach hers out too. A couple seconds later, she slowly started lifting her hand, and placed it on top of mine.
Athena's POV:
As I placed my hand onto the creatures hand, I no longer felt scared. I almost felt... safe? That was when I heard my father's voice. "ATHENA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" I looked up at the creature, and it almost immediately ran back into the woods. I picked up my basket, quickly gathered a few pumpkins and ran home. "Father, I can explain-" *Slap*. My father had hit me, once again. "What did you think you were doing? I told you to go gather pumpkins then come STRAIGHT home." I tried to explain myself but he forbid me to talk. I shamefully walked into the kitchen to make him his lunch.
