Bright light shining on your closed eyelids woke you up. You groaned softly and turned over in bed to avoid the sun's rays. You pulled the duvet further up your body and snuggled into the plump pillows.

"You're going to have to wake up eventually." The voice was gravelly and low, creating butterflies in your stomach. You opened one eye to look at your husband. You had been married for 7 years yet you still blushed at the sight of his honey-brown eyes and easy grin.

"Good morning husband. Just give me 10 more minutes." You smiled before closing your eyes. Lewis chuckled softly and leaned in to kiss you on your nose.
"I can give 10 minutes love, but they won't." He whispered.

Your eyes shot open. He sat up in bed and I was momentarily distracted by his shirtless chest that was decorated in beautiful swirls of ink. Lewis may be short and skinny but the man has abs and pectoral muscles to die for. You were probably drooling but you didn't care. You were pulled out of your drunken haze when he put on a grey t-shirt and began speaking.

"10, 9, 8," Your brows furrowed as you listened to him count down. You were confused.

"7, 6, 5," he continued and glanced towards the door. A little scared, you sat up and leaned against the headboard, the cold material woke you right up.

"Lewis? Why are you counting down? Don't you dare prank me." You eyed him closely. The chances of being pranked by your husband were low, but never zero so you braced yourself for flying objects or jump-scares.

"4, 3, 2, 1." He was laughing at this point. Outside your gorgeous hotel room you heard the pitter patter of tiny feet heading your way. A commotion of noise was heard right outside before the handle shook up and down. The owners of the tiny feet struggled with the handle some more then finally threw it open and sprinted inside towards our bed.

"Mummy! Daddy!" Your children squealed as they jumped onto your bed and crawled towards you. You quickly turned to your husband with raised eyebrows. Laughing, you turned to face him.

"How did you know how long it'd take them to get here?" You asked Lewis in surprise. He smirked and shrugged then enveloped your son in a hug.

"Good morning Baby Bears. Ready for a day out in Maui?" Lewis asked as he covered Kaden's face in kisses. Your heart melted as you listened to your favourite boys' laugh. Lewis told you he would have been happy with a baby of any gender but you were really glad that you were able to provide him with a son. Watching Kaden James grow up felt like you were watching Lewis grew up because not only did they look exactly the same but Kaden was picking up his dad's tendencies. 'Like father, like son' was no joke in this context.

Your attention was diverted when you felt two tiny hands on your cheeks. They turned your head until you were looking into big Y/E/C coloured eyes that sparkled brightly with mirth. Your daughter was an absolute beauty and sometimes you couldn't believe that you and Lewis had made her. She grinned at you, revealing two sets of pearly whites with a big gap at the bottom. The missing teeth only made her cuter so you leaned in to kiss both her cheeks.

She hummed happily. Your heart melted even more at the muffled sound of her voice. Harper Mae was incredibly shy and had never spoken. After months of therapy and consultations both the Hamilton and L/N families panicked about it and feared the worst but you trusted that your little girl would eventually talk when she wanted to. For now, she communicated using her body and sounds from her mouth. Never a full sentence.

"You ready to go make sandcastles at the beach?" Lewis asked Kaden when he'd stopped kissing him. Kaden nodded excitedly. "Can we go swimming with the sharks, fish and crocodiles?" Your son asked.
