"You keep slapping on that, and it won't stay on." Steve said. As he watched mike slapping on a paper name tag onto his work uniform.
Today was Mike's first day on the job at scoops ahoy. Thanks to Steve and of course Robin. If Mike was being honest, he could care less for a job. This was Mike's first job that wasn't retail.
Previously Mike had gotten a job as a cashier at a target, but was fired due to multiple complaints from multiple customers.
Evidently he could've cared less. Somewhere deep down Mike thought to himself that maybe Scoops Ahoy wouldn't be such a bad working environment for him, due to him knowing Robin and Steve. So he had two people he really liked working with him. It couldn't be such a bad idea. Right?
The paper material that once stuck to Mike's chest soon fell to the ground. Mike's temper began to kick in as he stomped on the paper crushing it with his foot.
Steve watched in amusement as Mike unleashed hell on his handmade name tag that he spent an hour making.
"Calm down Godzilla, I think you got it." Steve snickered.
Mike gave his friend the finger as he heard the double doors from behind him open. Out came Robin Buckley with her freckled face featuring a shit eating grin.
"What's got you so happy Buckley?" Steve asked the girl.
Robin smirked as she crossed her arms. "I may or may not have created my own edible using scoops ahoy ingredients.." she said nonchalantly. But clearly she was high.
"You dipshit we have inventory this week!!" Steve argued.
Mike dismissed the bantering between Steve and Robin. The shop was currently empty, so he decided to pull out his phone and his AirPods.
He swiped his thumbs over the cracked screen of his iPhone 8. Searching for his Spotify app.
Upon placing an AirPod in his left ear, the sound of music poured into his eardrum.

If there's one thing that Mike was really passionate about, it had to be music. He always believed that every song in the entire world had a message behind the lyrics, or a special meaning if you will.
Mike loved just about any song that had a guitar playing in it, of course excluding the bands his sister like such as The 1975, The Wallows, One Direction, 5 Seconds of winter or whatever the hell she listened to. He hated it, he despised boy bands so much.
"Hey shit bird, no listening to music on the job." Steve broke Mike out of his trance as he snatched the airpod from his ear.
"There's no customers in here!! It's been dead for three hours Steve!! Three hours!!! Everyone's too busy over at the movie theater, clothes shopping or having sex in the dressing room stalls in the H&M." Mike exclaimed infuriated with Steve for taking away his music.
"People have sex in the dressing room stalls?" Steve questioned, though Mike could tell he was sweating bullets when he asked that question.
"Yes, and by the way you two are very loud when trying to keep your voices down." Mike said as he shot daggers at the Robin and Steve.
"YOU HEARD US??!" The two exclaimed.
"You were babysitting me!!" Mike shot back.
Steve and Robin both turned as red as the cherry toppings you put on an ice cream sundae.
"Speak of this to anyone Wheeler, and you're dead. Got that?" Steve asked a little menacingly but Mike knew he wouldn't be placed in harms way.
"Same goes for me, if you let this secret slip I will murder you, bring you back to life just to wring that neck of yours then kill you again, then resurrect you from the dead once more and make you run around the mall butt ass naked." Robin said as both Mike and Steve slowly turned their heads to face her.
