Captivated

CHAPTER 2

ADI'S POV

I was already 20 minutes late for my first class. Ang laking badshot nito for my teacher's first impression. Paano ba naman kasi, di ako pwedeng masundo agad ni Jaja. I totally forgot that he was living across the city I've been staying right now tapos idagdag pa na tulog mantika siya.

Perooo... baka wala pa naman yung teacher ko sa room kaya kakain muna ako. Hehe.

It's a good thing na walking distance lang ang school ko mula sa hotel na pinag-stay-an ko. Nasa mismong city din kasi ako pero I think mas exclusive itong place na ito kase halos walang traffic tapos puro café's ang magkakatabi pati na rin botiques of clothes.

Anyhow, pumasok na lang ako sa unang café na nadaanan ko. I pulled the door before getting in. Even if it's only 7:30 in the morning, the café was almost filled up. I went to the counter and placed an order.

"One strawberry funnel cake crème frappuccino and a grilled sandwich please." Sabi ko habang humuhugot ng wallet sa bag ko. "Would you like to dine in ma'am?" sabi naman nung cashier. "Ah, no. Take out please. And do it quick coz I'm running late for my class, thank you!" I said politely. " Right away ma'am! It's 450 pesos, ma'am" saad naman nito. I gave her a 500 peso bill and put the change into their tip box. She cheerfully thanked me for that.

I sat at the nearest chair next to the counter and texted Jaja to not pick me up coz I'm on my way to school already. He didn't text me back so I guess he's still asleep.

That sleepyhead.

"Here's your order, Ma'am?" the server said. "Adi" I answered. "Here's your order Ma'am Adi. Enjor your meal!" he said as he handed me the paper bag which the grilled sandwich was and the cup of Frappuccino. Magtatanong na sana ako kung nasaan yung straw pero he pointed out the paper bag kaya tinignan ko, and there, andoon pala yung straw and napkins.

I thanked him and nod at the cashier before heading out their café.

Sinimulan kong kainin ang grilled sandwich ko bago ko inumin yung drinks ko habang naglalakad. Late na din naman ako so bakit pa ako magmamadali. After that 15 minute walk, I reached my school. Akala ko magkakaproblema dahil wala pa akong Id tapos late pa ako pero sabi nung guard eh okay na daw kasi binilin na ako sa kaniya ng mga teachers.

Thank goodness. Now, I just have to arrive at my room before 8 am. It's currently 7:55 am so I still have 5 mins to travel.

I'm currently facing the classroom's door. I can't reach the small window at the upper left corner of the door that's why I can't see if my Prof was inside but I do hear some noises coming from it. I sighed heavily before knocking the door.

*knock* *knock*

"Anjan na si Prof!" bulyaw ng boses lalaki mula sa loob. I guess wala pa si Mam.

Pipihitin ko na sana ang seradura ng pinto nang naunahan na itong buksan ng kung sino man sa loob tuloy ay na out of balance ako ng konte at muntikan pa akong mapasubsob. Buti na lang ay nakuha ko pang balansihen ang aking sarili. Ayos, mahal na mahal talaga ako ng Maykapal.
