Tommy smiles as he enters the café the smell of freshly cooked pastries surrounding the area. He loved this shop, much more than his job at Bad's who definitely underpaid him, but money was money, who was he to complain?

"Tommy!" Niki calls out in a cheerful voice as she notices the boy walk in from behind the counter "Niki!" Tommy smiles, walking over to her

"Sorry for being late, train wasn't on time" He apologies softly as Niki waves him off "It's no problem, it's been a slow day" She says softly, smiling still Tommy nods in response, looking around the café and noticing very little customers

"You're on register duty today, Puffy and I are behind back and Eret's just on his break right now, she finishes up soon enough so you won't have to worry about being a waiter til they finish up!" She informs him as he nods with a soft smile as he gets behind the counter and stations himself in front of the register

"Oh! We have new name tags, let me just grab yours" She says swiftly before heading out back, and moments later returning with his new tag and hands it to him Tommy takes it and examines it, not much has changed except the new one had pronouns on it, his pronouns specifically

"Tommy, He/Him" He reads out with a small smile "Thanks Niki" He says softly as he attaches it to his shirt "It's no problem" She tells him before informing him that she was going to help Puffy out back with the cooking, leaving him alone

Though the peace didn't last for long as the bell rang, signalling people have entered "Welcome to Niki and Puffy's café, how can I help you?" Tommy questions before realising who had just walked in "No way, Crow it's the kid from Bad's" The pink haired one - Blade - says with a laugh, "Yep." Tommy nods, wanting nothing more than to curse them out....

..but unlike most people, Tommy cannot afford to lose his job at this café.

"What can I get for you?" He questions them, as Ghost hums "What do you guys have?" He questions, ignoring the massive selection infront of him incased in glass "Currently everything in these" Tommy says, pointing towards the display cases "And coffee, tea, and hot chocolate" He adds on

Crow nods, smiling at the boy before saying "Could we get three chocolate chips, a black coffee for myself, what do you two boys want?" He asks looking at the others "Could I get a coffee with five shots of espresso?" Ghost questions as Tommy's eyes widen "Bro just do drugs at that point" He blurts out, eyes widening more as he hears Puffy exit the back as he says it

"Tommy, what did we say about telling our customers to do drugs?" She says teasingly as his face flushes in embarrassment "Sorry about him, I overheard W- Ghost asking for five shots of espresso, thought I should be the bearer of bad news and let him now our maximum is three shots" She says grinning at the hero who was now complaining

"But I'm a hero! Can't I get a special discount?" He questions as Puffy shakes her head, smiling at him "Man, just cause you're a hero doesn't mean you get borderline cocaine" Tommy mumbles, not expecting him to hear him

"Five shots is not borderline cocaine you child" He says, slight anger in his tone as he ignored how the boy flinches "Right, anyways, will the three shots do you or?" Tommy asks, wanting nothing more than to hit Ghost "Sure." He sighs

"I'll have a green tea" Blade says awkwardly as Tommy nods putting the order in the system "To go?" He assumes, but Crow shakes his head "It's a slow night tonight, we're gonna sit in for a bit" He informs the boy who had to refrain from screaming 'what the fuck' as he nods with a strained smile

Tommy grabs the cookies, placing them on a plate as he quickly begins making their coffees and tea, Blades was the easiest, next was Crows and then Ghosts, as he quickly puts them out on the counter "That'll be £16.57" He says as Crow hands him a twenty pound note "Keep the change" He says softly, as the trio take their products and sit down

"Hey Toms, you see what the dude in your district did?" Eret questions, exiting the break room "Nah, what'd T do this time?" He asks, lying but Eret didn't need to know what "Apparently stopped a robbery" He says with a nonchalant tone to his voice

"That's cool! He seems like a good guy" Puffy says softly, smiling at Eret "Yeh, it's nice to have someone around to protect us" Tommy says softly, smiling knowing that his co-workers didn't hate his - or well T's - guts

"Hey Tommy!" Ghost yells out, as Tommy groans "Yes?" He responds, not yelling but loud enough so that Ghost can hear him "You're annoying" He says in response

Tommy glares at the hero, gritting his teeth as he gives a forced smile "If he wasn't a hero I would stab him and have no guilt" He mumbles anger in his voice "Ghost." Puffy warns, as the hero puts his hands up in defense "I did nothing wrong but say the truth" He says playfully

I'm going to fucking kill that ghost bitch and make him a real fucking ghost Tommy thought to himself
