I gave the coach a look saying "What!!!" It looked like Peter was doing the same thing because the coach smiled and then said. "We will start you guys off at the climbing wall and then the people behind you will go right after you get down" He says looking down the two lines "Oh and there's a catch, whoevers team finishes first doesn't have to run laps for the next two days." I heard everyone make a sound of enjoyment, and a sigh of relief.

Peter and I slowly made our way to the rock wall, and we stood on the blue cushioned mat that sat on the floor.

"I want you to go as high as you can, but if you make it to the top your team gets a point." the coach said as he was about to blow the whistle indicating that we need to start climbing. I positioned myself ready to climb. I then heard the high pitched wheeze of the whistle, and I started to climb the wall, with the teams cheering loudly. It was quite easy because I was pretty strong. I then noticed that Peter was just a little bit lower than me. I know he's not that weak. The other day I saw Peter doing his sit ups like it was nothing. I looked up to see how far I had till I was at the top, I was almost there. I then noticed that the stub my foot was on was loose, and my foot slipped making me slip and almost losing my hand's grip.

I then caught my balance and slowly got up to the top and rang the tiny bell that was sitting on the top. Then the coach blew his whistle and I headed down, landing on the mat, and shortly after Peter came down. All the girls cheered as I walked to where the coach said we would start our conditioning, after we climbed.

I did my jumping jacks as Josie, another one of my friends, started to climb the wall and come back down only losing by a foot or two. She walked over to me and she greeted me with her ear to ear smile.

"Lia, long time no see" she giggled. Lia is her short way of saying Cecilia, she has always called me that.

"Yeah" I sighed out.

"You were so close to winning" I said to Josie and she rolled her eyes playfully.

"Well you know, guys are very competitive, especially Flash" she says pointing towards the rock wall, and he is almost already to the top and the girl is about half way. Flash rang the bell and he cheered out and was bragging about it to the girl's face.

"Yeah, well he's also a jerk"

"Hey, but you won against Peter"

"Yeah, I think he was holding back, because I've seen him do his conditioning and he makes it look effortless" I started to do my sit ups as Josie held my feet.

"Well, maybe..... He kinda looked like he was staying under making sure that you didn't fall, because just before you slipped he shifted to become closer to you, like he knew you were going to slip." Joise explained

"What do you mean?" I was confused

"He was just trying.... to find a better hold, so he ....didn't fall" I said, taking breaths throughout the sentence.

"Ok, whatever helps you sleep at night" Josie laughs, I do my last sit up and playfully slap her arm, and that's when the coach blew his whistle, getting everyone's attention.

"Well I know most of you are wanting to know who won the rock wall today? I would proudly announce that the Girls have one by one point" He chuckled as all the boys whined.

"Thats Bullsh-" Flash was cut off by the loud bell, I laughed as he went up to the coach complaining. After that everyone went on going throughout their day.

The rest of the day went by In a blink of an eye, and I was now heading out the crowded door and into the warm summer air. I felt the sun light up my face as I breathed out with a sigh of relief.  The sound of people talking and the sound of stomping on the concrete grew softer the farther away I got from the school. As Soon as I left the school grounds I put on my earbuds and blasted my music, making it so I couldn't hear anything.
