Space. 22nd century. The eerie feeling of morbid silence and pale lightning emanating from the perfectly placed stars spread across the never-ending galaxy was suddenly disturbed by something making its way into deep space in a loud fashion. It was a spaceship that seemed to come out of nowhere. Based on its outdated components, structure and underdeveloped design, it was safe to say it could have originated from Earth, a part of the galaxy that was still behind in terms of evolution. The ship's chaotic movement and sudden bursts of inconsistent flames popping up on multiple sides of its body suggested the existence of a malfunction grave enough to destabilize the engines and stray away from its pre-programmed course. As it was starting to lose altitude, beneath the intensifying amount of fire covering the right side of the ship, the name "Tartarus" could be read. An old Greek synonym for "Hell". How tragic and yet symbolic as far as irony goes, seeing as it is probably where Tartarus was heading on its inevitable ill-fated crash.
During its free fall, the ship was apparently destined to land on the planet of Romar, a location feared by many in the galaxy due to the reputation it has gained over the last millennia for a number of reasons. As it entered the planet's atmosphere, the left hand side of the ship disintegrated, as a result of the explosion produced by the force of entry. A number of mechanical pieces and other components that could only be likened to cryo-chambers residing inside were blown away with slim chances of surviving the impact intact. In a matter of mere seconds, Tartarus finally hit the ground as it narrowly avoided the rough terrain of Romar and crashed into its only existent ocean, the Ruva. It did not escape major damage, however, as it seemingly sustained deterioration beyond repair. The Tartarus was now no more than a sinking wreckage.
