The fight for survival has entered its decisive stage as the duel commences. Both fighters start slowly moving along a parallel line, taking their time before initiating the first move. Max knows he's not fully fit yet so he tries to study his opponent from afar, but, to his dismay, that tactic is postponed by Ryzen making the first move and running towards him in a frighteningly determined manner. He tries to avoid impact, but is caught in the shoulder by Ryzen's right hook. The hit only grazed him, but the amount of force produced by that simple right hand hook was enough to throw him to the ground. "So...they're strong too." Max thought to himself, making a mental note just before having to escape being stomped to death by his opponent as the crowd was cheering in the background. Max quickly gets up and starts looking around for weapons and ways to catch this guy off guard. He sees a spear behind his adversary and immediately simulates a frontal attack against him as he slides right beneath his legs whilst successfully dodging a high kick and runs towards the weapon, but as soon as he reaches it is confronted by Ryzen. In three fast paced maneuvers Max manages to block a direct attack, stab his opponent in the foot and land a double-legged kick in the chest while propelling himself with the help of his spear. The entire crowd murmurs in shock and starts jeering Max.
He tries to capitalize on this successful hit as fast as possible in order to gain momentum, but an enraged Ryzen grabs a hold of his spear and breaks it in half while following it up with a powerful headbutt that leaves Max dizzy for a second. The Romari fighter, annoyed by the fact that he got hurt by a weak outlander and by the longevity of the duel, decides to end it right here and now. He ignores the human that's still recovering on the ground and heads straight for one of the sharpest blades hanging on the eastern wall beneath where the supporters are standing. He quickly grabs it and rapidly approaches Max as the alien blade's tech activates, charging it with powerful bursts of electricity around the edges, suggesting that any blow could prove fatal to Max. But Max sees this as a perfect chance to exploit a weakness in his opponent so he subtly takes off his left gauntlet and delays getting up on his feet, waiting until the final moment when Ryzen swings the blade his way. In one swift move, the human throws a significant fist of sand in the Romari's face, affecting his sight, then strikes his blade wielding hand with the gauntlet. Still affected by the sand in his eyes, Ryzen blindly throws a heavy punch that Max averts. He is then aggressively stomped on his spear inflicted wound on his foot and body slammed onto the blade by Max, which electrocutes him enough to fry most of his robotic components. The blade's impact didn't prove to be as fatal to the Romari as it would have been to a mere human, although it did disrupt his tech. Max finally had an advantage over him and wasn't willing to let it slide. He went over to finish the job as the fight was now fair. Ryzen got up, driven now solely by anger, desperation and the unbearable shame a potential defeat could present to his existence on Romar. The two engage in a stunningly impressive martial arts display, seeing as both of them were masters in their styles of fight techniques on their respective planets. The two of them land a couple of powerful hits with Ryzen throwing Max in one of the walls hard enough to break one of his ribs. As he screamed in pain, hurrying to get back in the game, Max heard a feminine voice from the fans above him:
