Today was October 7th and my first day at my new school Called Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry. I used to attend Beauxbatons Academy Of Magic up until a few days ago when my family and I moved to the United Kingdom.
I will be starting my fifth year and my sister Lena will be starting her fourth year. It's times like this where I'm grateful to have a sister.
I had asked my dad how exactly we were getting to Hogwarts and he told me the ministry of magic was giving us transportation there on a train.
We arrived to a train station called King's Cross, "okay girls follow me they told me you girls have to walk through a barrier between platforms 9 and 10" said my dad.
after a couple a minutes of walking we stopped in front of a sort of stone wall. "alright girls walk through it" said my dad "dad are you sure about this?" asked Lena "well yes I'm quite sure this is it, this is how other students get to Hogwarts every year" he said.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes and ran straight through the wall.
I opened my eyes and was shocked and amazed I didn't actually think it would work. Seconds later Lena appeared "woah I thought I was dead for a second there" she said.
In front of us was a small red train that said Hogwarts Express on it "okay girls on you go" said my dad.
My sister and I were boarding the train "oh girls wait a second" said my dad stopping us he took out two pieces of paper from his pocket.
"these are your permission forms to be allowed to go to a town called hogsmeade" he said as he handed it to us.
he gave one last look at us and gave us a hug "good luck girls" he smiled.
My moms way of saying bye to me was just by smiling at me. My mom and I were never really close. We always had big fights and can go days sometimes weeks without talking to each other.
Lena and I boarded the train waving goodbye to them and sat down. Lena and I were the only ones on the train "are you nervous?" asked Lena.
"A little, but at least I know I won't be completely alone" I smiled "that is if we get sorted into the same house" said Lena.

After many hours of being on the train we had arrived. Lena and I got off the train and waiting for us was a tall giant man with long, thick, and bushy black hair and beard.
"Mar Abrams and Lena Abrams Welcome to Hogwarts I'm Rubeus Hagrid gamekeeper, keeper of keys and Hogwarts grounds" He said.
"hello Hagrid" said Lena.
"alright yeh two follow me" he said. we followed the giant man to a lake "this is the black lake this is how we traditionally transport firs' years ter Hogwarts or in this case new students" He explained.
