They looked at each other briefly. Jace's face was blank and had confusion written all over his face.
"Let me break this down further. We've got the nurse and the guy. The guy told the nurse everything and then the nurse told me." Vasco explained.
"Okay, if it's like that then when you got hit, how many people were around you, at the time. Since you had got hit, you must've gathered quite an audience."
"I don't know." He muttered. "I could only hear people."
"Right, then you can't really say the nurse was actually someone who watched you get hit across the street."
"Ahh! Must've been me in a daze. Sorry about that."
"No worries. Although, I definitely would be cautious around people now because that nurse gives me mixed feelings." Jace advised.
"Okay." He nodded.
Jace glided over to the doorknob and welcomed Vasco's family back in. They came in single file, one by one.
"Hello boys! Were you talking about girls?" His mum snickered.
"What?! How'd you know?!" He lied.
"Mother knows all secrets." She winked. "Anyways, the nurse told me that you're moving to another ward very soon. I really hope you get better."
"Oh okay, thank you."
"We better get going, then! Me got a meeting tomorrow!" Vasco's dad smiled. "Me better make a good impression on the guys!"
"Okay. I'll see you soon."
"I'm heading out to the bathroom. I'll come back in a few minutes." Jace spoke.
"Yeah, sure, I'll rest for a bit in the meantime." Vasco yawned, leaning back into his bed.

Jace's POV
I sighed loudly as I locked myself into a toilet stall. I'm glad that Vasco made it. He's incredible but how does he get himself into trouble like that so often now? It might be family problems. After all, this all happened because of his mum. Way before that, he had his coffee which might've caused his sickness.
It's the butterfly effect.
