So today is my dad's birthday so i woke up extra early so i can make him our favorite breakfast and no i'm not worried bout nobody else because it's not their birthday.
I went downstairs to the kitchen and got out two bowls and spoons. I then grabbed the cinnamon toast crunch out the pantry then got the milk out of the fridge. I made the cereal and then I went upstairs to my mom and dad's room.
Walking in the room as quickly and quietly as i could i sat both bowls of cereal on the dresser. mind you it's 8:30 in the morning.
Running back downstairs I grab two pots and run back up the stairs to their room. I then tip toe towards his side of the bed. When i was about to raise the pots up he said to me with his eyes still closed "Leilani Dior Banks if you bang them mf pots together in my ear i'm going to beat your ass"
See i should have known to do something else because I do this every year. "Okay Derrick you didn't have to say my full government name first of all and second wake up i made our favorite" i told him grabbing both bowls of cereal which was still crunchy.
my mom was already gone with willow and skyler to grab something's for me. Handing him one of the bowls as i sat down on my moms side.
I also gave him the card i put in my moms night stand. which he then read out loud "Happy Birthday to literally my favorite person in the entire world. You push me to be great and you make my day better just by being here. Your my best friend and protector all in one and I don't know what i'd do if you weren't in my life. Thank you for all the memories and opportunities you given me and thank you for the memories we have yet to make together. I love you Durkio, Smurk, The Voice, Dad."
"Thanks Lani, I love you too" he said hugging me after he put his finished bowl of cereal down and me doing the same.
"Now dad get your stinking ass in the shower your outfit is laid out in your closet." I told him smiling getting up and going to my room to take a shower as well.
(A/N~ i shouldn't have to tell y'all how a shower works she did her basic hygiene)
