"-lay! Dream! Wake up!" Charlotte yells, attempting to wake her brother up.
"Why? What's the time?" Clay whines.
"You have school, idiot. And weren't you gonna try out for cheer?" Charlotte reminds, clearly pissed off.
Oh, yeah. I had been wanting to try out for cheer for the past year and a half. How the fuck did I forget they were today? I mean, to be fair I did just wake up.
"You should wear the skirt, maybe you could catch George's attention" Charlotte teases. Clay has been friends with George for 2 years now, how could a skirt 'catch his attention'? Why would he want to get that attention? Oh, right, he's practically in love with him.
"Why the fuck would I want his attention? We're friends already" Clay asks, Charlotte just smirks.
"Don't think I don't see how you look at him" She snarks, smugly "I'm not as dense as he is; I know these things"
"Whatever, leave so I can change" Clay whines, flipping his sister off.
"Pussy boy" Charlotte mutters under her breath, leaving his room and closing the door.
Clay gets up and walks to his closet picking out a long sleeve, black shirt, with a green cropped top over it, black cargo pants with a chain attached to either side and a chain necklace to top it off.
He walks out of his room and down his stairs to his kitchen.
"Are you going anywhere special? Cause you look very dressed up today" Clays mum, Sarah, asks.
"Just trying to make it difficult for myself to get into the cheer uniform" He chuckles, face turning a light shade of pink at the true reason he was 'dressed up'.
"He's trying to attract the wild George" Charlotte snorts.
"Oh, really?" Sarah teasingly smiles at her son, who just sighs in response.
"Yes, I am, and don't call him 'the wild George', that's just fucking stupid"
"I mean, so is dressing up to get the attention of someone who you're 'friends', so shut it" Charlotte retorted.
Clay sighs, and pours his cereal, eating it as quick as possible to get the constant teasing thats reeks from his family to stop.
He says goodbye to his mom and sister and walks to George's house. This was an everyday thing: Wake up to Charlotte being annoying, get teased by mom, eat cereal as quick as possible to get away from said mom, walk to George's house, walk to school together. It's become a routine, and sometimes George panics if Clay was even a few minutes late.
He knocks on his best friends door. He sighs, best friend. His sadness is then completely trampled on when George opens the door with his slightly ruffled hair and happy grin. George was always one to show affection through actions rather than words, so shock isn't what is given to Clay when George wraps his arms around him, just a red face.
George lets go and is very jumpy, he looks like a little kid on a trampoline.
"Hello, Clay. This morning I was looking for something to wear and I completely forgot about the hoodie you gave me, so I finally put it on after how ever many months it's been sitting on my chair, and I think I look pretty good, definitely not Clay good, but it's George good" George giggled, still bouncing up and down.
"What do mean by 'Clay good'?" Clay asks, half confused, half fishing for compliments.
"I don't know what you're so confused about, do you like not look at your outfits in the mirror? Cause I sometimes get jealous of how good your outfits look" George spits out, Clay chuckles, running a hand through his hair, and gaining an even redder face than before, somehow.
George notices the chain around Clay's neck. I wish I could just pull on that and just- His thoughts were cut off by Clay grabbing his wrist and saying "I think we should get to school". One day I will do that, nothing can stop me.
"I remember you saying that you were gonna try out for the cheer team, are you still gonna do that? I don't know much about it but I'd love to watch you do it!" George smiled. My God, I love him.
"Uh, yeah, I am, and heh, thanks, but I highly doubt I'd get in" Clay laughed, George just looked at him like he was about to kill him.
"You're lucky that I have self-control, cause if I didn't I would've slapped you by now. You will get it and if you don't I'll yell at them" George said blankly, it kind of scared Clay
"You don't have to do tha-" Clay got cut off by George slapping his hand on Clay's mouth
"Shut up"
He took his hand off Clay's mouth and grabbed his hand
His smile returned to his face
"You're terrifying"
"I try"
They arrive at the school, only to see Sapnap and Darryl fighting
"What's happening?" Clay asks Zak
"Sapnap thought it was a good idea to ask why Bad hates when people swear, now they're arguing about what chip flavours the best" Zak shrugs, Clay just stares at him with utter confusion.
Sapnap somehow ended the argument, only to start teasing Clay.
"Hey, what's up with you two holding hands?" Sapnap smirks, motioning to their intertwined fingers, and Clay just glares at him.
"You act as if he never does this" Clay scoffs.
"He literally only does it to you"
"Ayo, what? He does what to you?" Alex chimes in.
"Hold my hand, that's it" Clay says, about to beat the shit out of something - or someone.
"When will the bell ring? I'm gonna punch someone square in the face if that annoying sound doesn't ring in the next-" Clay starts gritting his teeth when that sweet melody plays. Honestly, it's annoying as fuck, but he enjoys anything if he can get out of his friends bugging him about George. Don't get me wrong, he loves George and talking about him, but when someone won't be quiet about how head over heels in love with him he is, it can get irritating. It's as if they want him to get heartbroken. If he doesn't feel the same that is, like, yes, he hugs him a lot, but he hugs everyone.
"Come on, we have english and I'm not excited" George giggled, dragging Clay along with him.
My God.
