Kylie Harvelle is one of Marissa Cooper & Summer Roberts' best friend. Meaning she's popular but single. And she's apparently so popular she doesn't nor do Summer have a date to the cotillion.
Kylie was in her room on the phone, talking to Marissa. "Ky, I think I just found you and Summer's dates for the cotillion."
"Is he cute?" Kylie wondered.
"Yes, Ky. I really think your gonna like him." Marissa encouraged.
"Well, are you gonna tell me? Or am I just going to have to guess?" Kylie asked in a excited manor.
"No. I want you to be surprised."

The next day Kylie met up wit Marissa and Summer at the Cooper home. "Coop, are you sure he's cute?" She said following Marissa and Summer out the door and into Marissa's car. Summer scoffs "Why do you care? Aren't you miss 'it doesn't matter what's on the outside-"
Summer gets cut off by Kylie. "Hey! The outside matters just not as much as the inside." She then looked toward Marissa from the back seat. "Mar-"
"Ky, he's cute. I promise. And your gonna like him." Marissa promised.
When the three get there everyone else and they're dates have been dancing for a few minutes. At least beside Marissa, Kylie, and Summer. But soon a curly head, and a blonde walk in.
And the girls( Summer and Kylie) follow behind Marissa. "Hey guys, can I introduce you to your debs?" Marissa greeted.
Summer stands beside the blonde and says "We've already met."
"Well actually Summer, Kylie is Ryan's deb."
"Actually Mar, It's-it's okay. I'll be with..." She trailed off, and looked at him. "Seth, right?"

"Right." He said screaming with joy on the inside due to the fact she knew his name.

So now Seth and Kylie have been dancing for a while. "Your a great dancer ." Kylie complemented. He didn't really hear her due to the fact he was to busy studying her features.
"Hmm? What'd you say?" He asked snapping out of his thoughts. "I said your a great dancer."
"Oh thanks. You are too.
From then he just continued to be in thought. And Kylie couldn't help but notice. "Are you ok?" She asked concerned.
"Yeah," He assured. "It's just... Do you really not remember me?" He asked.
"I'm sorry?" She asked, in a confused tone.
"You seriously don't remember me?" He asked.
"No. I'm sorry."

Tonights the night of the Cotillion, and Kylie was finally ready and looking for Seth. She finally finds him in the back. "Hey." She approached with a smile.
"Hey." He responded.
"So uh listen I-" She started only to be cut off by Seth. He sighed "Let me guess, you found another date too." He assumed making an ass out of himself. She scoffed with disbelief "No actually I was going to say something else. But you know what forget it." She scoffed again, walking away making Seth feel like an idiot.
Kylie had stepped outside for a breather. But she wasn't outside before she joined by Seth. "What are you doing shouldn't you be-" She cut off by him. "Out here apologizing to my date." He said making her turn her head to face him. "I'm sorry I assumed. I shouldn't have assumed you-" She cut him off. "Were like Summer." She said making him look down at his shoes feeling guilty. "Because I'm not." He was silent. She then offered him her hand, making him look up her. And he took her hand still a little shocked that she would want to be his date after his actions. "I guess I'm a better person than you thought, huh?" She asked rhetorically dragging him inside the building.
She then got in line awaiting for her turn, with Marissa behind her doing the same. She turned back to Marissa "Hey I thought you said you weren't coming?"
"Yeah, I wasn't. Then I changed my mind."
"Oh, ok." She found that odd. Usually Marissa's stubborn and once she makes up her mind, that's it.
She moved up a step. She was next to be announced.
"Kylie Harvelle, daughter of Charles and Vanessa Harvelle." The lady announced as Kylie met her dad in the middle of the stage and linked her arm with his. And waited for Seth to meet the, he did. He bowed and she curtsied.
Not soon after Marissa was announced, they all started to waltz.
While Kylie and Seth were waltzing, Seth noticed the look on Kylie's face. She looked as if she wanted to say something. "What is it?" he asked.
"Nothing. I'm kind of tired. I just can't wait to go home and read a book." She admitted, with an chuckle.
"What are you into ?" He asked.
"Excuse me?" She awkwardly chuckled. "No, what? I mean what type of books are you into?" He said nervously.
"I'm into everything. I read everything, including comics." She explained. She then continued, "But I call them-" She was cut off by Seth.
"Graphic novels." They in unison. Making each other chuckle.
"You know, you're pretty cool Cohen." She admitted.
"You too, Kylie." He said, just as everything came to an holt due Holly's father and Marissa's Father getting into a fist fight.

After the fight broke out Marissa needed time to herself. Kylie and her parents felt it's now time to leave. The party was a bust. On their way out Kylie spotted Seth outside, maybe waiting for someone.
"Hey, um Kylie can I talk to you for a second?" He said catching her attention. She turned to her parent, telling them she would meet them at the car.
"What's up, Seth?"
"How's Marissa?" He asked, avoiding what he actually had to say.
"She fine. She just need some time to think." She explained. Then there was a moment of awkward silence. And broke the silence.
"Okay..." She dragged. "Tonight was crazy, I appreciate you being an amazing date. And I think you should really call me some time." She flirted before giving him a kiss on the cheek.
