"'Can I list all the squadrons of PIES'? What do you mean? Of course I can! I've been here for 18 years, what do you expect? Here, I'll do it. There's squadron 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15..."

"What do you mean I missed squadron 13? It's just... not here anymore."
"..."
"You want to know why? I'm not surprised. Although if you want to hear that story, it'd best be told at another time."
"..."
"Ah, persistent, are we? Hm, fine, I'll tell you. Just don't come crying to me once I'm done telling the story."

December 25th 2045
Lamma Island, Hong Kong"I can't believe we're actually getting sent on a mission on Christmas Day." Squadron 13 member Nila grumbled.
Violet sighed. "But it's what the institute said. Whatever the institute says is what we'll do. Still can't believe they finally sent us out on a mission."
"A mission on Christmas Day is the least of our issues," Ming said. "The problem here is who let Pyotr tag along? He's just a child!"
"He wanted to come too," said a very tired Zhen, holding a case file in one hand and Pyotr's hand in another.
"Besides, I'm not a child!" Pyotr protested. "I'm thirteen, and I'm going to be turning fourteen in quite a bit too!"
Tom turned back to look at Pyotr. "That still makes you the youngest one here. Although..." They thought for a while. "I guess you could watch. If you wanted to. Just... keep your distance. You don't know what we're dealing with."
"Yes I do!" said Pyotr again. "You're just doing typical institute stuff! Although if Zhen let me look at the case files, maybe I'd understand a bit more about our situation at hand. It's the first important mission we've had in quite a while, so it should be exciting!"
"Uh, maybe it's best that you don't know, kiddo." Ming ruffled Pyotr's hair before turning to Zhen and whispering, "Have we still not told him yet?"
Zhen shook her head. "It'd be a bit too... gruesome for him. Maybe another day."
The 13th squadron continued marching down the streets of Lamma Island, an island southwest of Hong Kong Island. They didn't know what to expect, but they had brought equipment in case they were expecting the worst. Unfortunately, they had also brought along Pyotr, which was probably the most of their worries.
The Polaris Institute of Engineering and Science wasn't actually what it was all about. To Pyotr and most of the public outside of the institute, it was an institute made to perfect the newest engineering techniques and to explore the unknowns of the scientific world. This, however, was not the reason why the 13th squadron was currently at Lamma Island.
There were more dangers. Dangers hidden beyond the deep.
Pyotr tugged on the sleeve of Zhen's black suit. "Zhen, are we there yet?"
"What do you mean by 'there'?" asked Zhen.
Pyotr shrugged. "I dunno. You never tell me anything." He said, looking up to her with a seemingly innocent smile on his face.
Nila chuckled. "Man, who taught this kid how to talk back?"
"That... would be me as well." replied Zhen with a face full of many regrets.
The squadron finally reached the Lamma Power Station, the place they had been intending to go to. Pyotr didn't know that, of course. He had just been told that the place had to be evacuated due to reasons relating to "scientific research".
