Taehyung feels his heart go boom.
A feeling he hasn't felt since years. Since Min Yoongi has broke his heart.
Min Yoongi, wearing a baby pink apron with a kitty image printed in them, is standing in his kitchen cooking something delicious.
Min Yoongi, a person who is not good for his heart.
"Hyung, what are you doing?" Taehyung asked keeping his bag on the sofa and entered the kitchen.
"Hey Tae! Welcome back." Yoongi greeted him with a soft smile on his face and Taehyung blamed his traitorous heart for doing summersaults at the smile he is receiving. It has been a long time since he has been at the receiving end of that smile.
Welcome back. Just simple two words. But why did Taehyung feel the need to tear up. The old familiarity catching him up and now he is feeling afraid.
Afraid that how much longer his heart will take to move on when Yoongi decides to leave.
"You okay? You look pale." Yoongi's smooth voice floated through the wind like a caress and his scent hittting Taehyung making him remember the bittersweet past clearly.
"Yeah...I'm okay." Taehyung stepped back and gave a smile but he knows Yoongi won't believe him. He knows Taehyung too well.
"Come on. Let's eat. I made dinner." Yoongi placed the delicacies on the dinner table and took a seat opposite to Taehyung.
"How was uni?" Yoongi asked stuffing a dumpling in his mouth.
"The same old. Nothing good. Nothing bad." Teahyung said.
"Hmm...and how was your friends?" Yoongi asked and Taehyung frowned hearing this.
What is Yoongi trying to do? Why is he asking these questions. It isn't like Yoongi and he asks these types of questions only when he feels the need to confess something.
"Okay, tell me what do you want."
"What?" Yoongi's eyes widened.
"Yeah, you ask me these questions only when you want something or have you done something. So, what is it?" Taehyung demanded.
"Well for your kind information, I don't need anything nor have I feel the need to confess something. I just wanted an amicable dinner without any awkwardness. And if I have bothered you then I am fucking sorry for trying to diffuse the tension." Yoongi snapped getting angry at the younger even when he just wanted to spend time with him. To bask in his attention atleast during a shared meal. To be next to him. To feel him just for few minutes so that when he leaves he can have this familiarity helping him through years.
"Well, you only ask these types of basic questions when you need something. So, blame yourself not me." Taehyung defensively spoke. He won't let Yoongi win again. He won't let Yoongi break his heart again.
