Nikki POV:
i was walking around camp, because Max and Neil were still asleep. It was saturday. I went to go check on the beehive that was in the forest.
Nurf POV
it was another bad day; i woke up from a nightmare and had a breakdown in my tent. I was sitting by a tree in the forest, which was near a beehive, so bees would sometimes pass by. I was on my phone, since David had given everyone their phones back. I was scrolling through tiktok. The only reason i used the app was because it was a good time spender. I heard walking behind me.
Nikki POV:
i saw red hair peaking from a tree. I realised it was Nurf, what was he doing here? He also seemed quiet. "hi!"
Nurf POV:
"Hi!" I heard someone say. I noticed it was Nikki. I tried to say something back. But got a huge voicecrack instead- just great.
Nikki POV:
"h-hEllo- fu-" i heard Nurf cut himself of from swearing. Had he been crying? He looked- and sounded sad. "Are you alright?"
3rd person POV:
Nikki walked over to sit next to Nurf. "Are you alright?" she asked. Nurf stayed quiet, looking away, he didnt want Nikki to see him cry. "...i'm fine" was all he could get out of his voice. Nikki leaned against Nurf, trying to comfort him. Nikki was suprised that he didnt push her away, but at her instead.
For once in his life, Nurf felt noticed. Even if it was someone like Nikki, who always wants to know how someone is doing, he still felt a familiarly warm feeling in his chest. He noticed that Nikki had fallen asleep. He picked her up and carried her back. He was trying to hold back tears again. Not from sadness...
...but from happyness
