The sound of the phone in the darkness of the room disturbed Arias peaceful slumber. She fumbled for the bedside lamp and turned it on. She picked up her phone. Hello?
"Aria?" said a voice. "I hope I didn't disturb your beauty sleep, Ria?" In her ear, a sarcastic voice burst forth. Her eyes widen as she realizes what has happened, "omg!" she exclaims.
Aria's panicked voice echoed throughout her empty apartment, "Zac, give me 30 minutes and I'll be there."
"Aria"... the connection ended, but not before Aria heard Giana's distant voice tell Zac to give her some space.
I quickly washed my teeth and took a shower, and put on black joggers, a black tee, and a denim jacket, which I paired with golden goose sneakers. I took my luggage and went down and loaded it into my car.
The universe was so kind to me today as there was no traffic and I reached the airport in 30 minutes. I quickly parked my car and took my luggage out before walking inside. Looking around, a pissed Zac and an unbothered Giana came into the view.
"You're late, Ria," he hissed as I smiled sheepishly.
"Zac, the flight is in two hours," Giana stood beside me. "You need to give her some break, dude," she continued.
"I apologize sire," I bowed with a fake English accent as Zacs lips twitched.
"I accept your apology, Madame," he smiled as I laughed and heard Giana chuckle beside me.
"You should be grateful, I love you," he groaned, his eyes narrowing as I hugged him firmly and he pushed me away.
"Come on, we can get something to eat before we board," I said, my stomach growling as Giana and Zac chuckled before nodding in approval.
We finally arrived in Miami after a three-hour journey. The weather in Miami was fantastic, and it was the perfect time of year to visit the beautiful beaches. Zac's excessively eager words resonated in my ears as I grinned as I walked towards our ride and which drove us to the hotel.
We checked into the hotel and were shown to our rooms. Entering the room, I slumped in the comforts of my bed as I breathed a sigh of relief. My heartfelt satisfied, enthusiastic, and giddy for some reason. I turned on my back and glanced at the ceiling, as the emotion was inexplicable and making me desperate. My eyes dropped as I feel the exhaustion hit me like a bag of brick and slowly, I drifted to my dreamland.
Two hours of sleep was enough to keep me awake for the whole night. A beep on my phone jolted me out of my trance as I examined the message Zac had sent, informing me that they would be waiting in the lobby in two hours. I took my time and had a relaxing bubble bath. I strolled out of the bathroom in my bathrobe and got dressed; I chose a white side slit cap sleeve mini dress with a gold chain and ankle strap high shoes.
"Today, we'll get drunk, and you two can find yourselves a man," Zac exclaimed as I approached them.
"Why only us and not you?" I tilted my head and smirked.
"I suppose we should have asked Aki to accompany us," Giana teased, "Don't you think, Zac?"
"What is he doing here? Why should he come? It's our vacation!" Zac cried as I rolled my eyes.
"Can you become any more oblivious?" Giana hissed, slightly irritated.
"Huh!" Zac was perplexed by the situation.
"Nothing, let's leave before we get late," I said as I dragged both of my buddies out to our ride. We climbed inside the grey SUV as Zac drove us to the club.
Zac obviously couldnt stop his rambling on how much fun we were going to have. When We arrived, the club was packed like a swarm of bees, with people dancing, drinking, laughing, and most likely making out in the corner. We made our way to the bar and ordered drinks. Oh, the night was young, and one of us was bound to get drunk.
WHEN I SAID ONE OF US, I meant Zac. Oh no, this guy can drink one whole gallon of beer. If he pukes on me like last time, Im going to leave him in the middle of the road and let someone run him over, Giana said as I sighed.
"let's get him back to the hotel, G," I said as we dragged a dancing Zac out of the club. "Wa-ha-ha" Zac tumbled. "Just get your fat ass in the car," Giana growled as Zac pouted, tears brimming in his eyes. Let me tell you, a drunk Zac is not something you want to encounter. "S-she doe, not l-love m-me anymore," he wailed. "Oh god!" Giana groaned as I glared at Giana. "What!" she shrugged as I sighed for the nth time. "Zac, why dont you sit in the back and Giana can drive us back to the hotel," I reasoned with a soft voice. "Okay," he said in a tiny voice before settling inside the car as Giana take the driver's seat. I opened the passenger seat door when I stilled. "What's wrong?" Giana asked as I frowned before shaking my head.
Was it my imagination, or were my eyes playing tricks on me? There are moments when one has a hard time believing what is going on around them. My thoughts drifted back to a few minutes before when Giana drove the car to the hotel. I stare out the window as the trees and buildings pass by, wondering what happened that day. Tears welled up in my eyes as memories flashed through my mind like a bolt of bloody lightning as I shivered in my seat. We arrived at the hotel, as I blinked my tears away before exiting the vehicle and getting Zac's drunk ass to his room.
