Stolas stood in his room pacing back and forth, worry stricken across his face. His tail was erect with worry as his claws dug into his carpet leaving a track along the outskirts of his bedroom. Blitzo's words played on repeat inside his head.

"This is an overnight in the human world and this mission is extremely dangerous."

It had now been three days since the full moon and Blitzo had left for his mission. Stolas was now in a panic having no way to get to the human world to see if Blitzo was even alive. Stolas had visited the IMP Headquarters every day and night since the imp crew had left for the human world. He usually visited often either way but knowing that Blitzo was going into a dangerous mission made him visit even more often. Every time he visited the building he was met by an unruly Hellhound but she never stopped him from coming.

Stolas stopped at his window overlooking the city before deciding once more he was going to the headquarters. He quickly dressed into his princely attire then left the bedroom, nearly walking directly into Octavia in the hallway.

"Oh! I'm sorry my little owlette!" He wrapped Octavia into a hug before rustling her beanie. "What is my little owlette doing on this beautiful day?"

Octavia rolled her eyes before returning back to her phone, turning away to walk down the stairs with a faint reply. "Miserable as always."

Stolas let out a soft sigh before following down the stairs and out the front door. Before leaving he called Octavia. "I'll be right back, I have to run an errand." He didn't get a response before he left the house climbing into the ready limousine.

The drive was fast as the buildings flew past faster and faster as Stolas pushed the drivers speed. Once at IMP headquarters the driver parked in the lot. Stolas quickly exited the vehicle and walked towards the entrance as quickly as possible. He took a moment to try to compose himself before pushing open the door. As usual he was met by a relaxed Loona with her feet kicked up on the desk as she scrolled her phone.

Loona looked up at the intrusion before rolling her eyes and focusing back on her phone. "He isn't back yet; can't you stop coming yet." She spoke before Stolas.
"Well hello Loona. Are you not worried Blitzy hasn't come back yet? He said it was only an overnight trip and it's been three days now." Stolas enquired while resuming his pacing, now in the lobby. He could feel his tail becoming rigid with worry again but attempted to hide his worries.

"No. Why should I be worried? He's doing his job, he'll be back eventually." Loona replied.
The lack of worry struck Stolas leaving him in shock. He hesitated in his pacing to take a more thorough look at the hellhound. Although her words suggested she didn't care, her flattened, flicking, ears showed otherwise. He noticed how her foot was anxiously shaking on the desk and her eyes would ever so briefly flick from her phone to Blitzo's door. Stolas focused his hearing towards the hound and heard almost silent whimpers of worry leaving her snout between yawns. Stolas knew he wasn't an expert on hellhounds but could assume that those were her own signs of worry. He wished he could give Loona a hug but knew he would only receive frustration.

He paced a few more tracks trying to think of a way to lessen Loona's worry before stopping with an idea. Stopping in his tracks he turned to Loona with an ecstatic look on his face. "Loona! How would you like to spend the evening with my daughter, Octavia? I'm sure she has nothing planned and you two would have a splendid time!" Before Loona could respond he continued. "Yes! You two can go out and have a "night on the town." Within reason of course." Stolas quickly walked over to where Loona was sitting and pulled out her chair.

Loona started to protest but was shooed out of the door by Stolas. He locked the door behind her and waved goodbye as he lowered the shades. Loona was left standing in the hallway, completely shocked.

Back in the office Stolas continued his pacing, so much so that he began making a track in the lobby. He must have paced for hours back and forth while calling Blitzo intermittently. It was now almost midnight and he was sitting in Blitzo's office with his head in his hands. He continued to berate himself about not being powerful enough to help Blitzo. Without his book he was strong, very, but not strong enough to travel to the human world again. He had traveled to the human world the week previous to save Blitzo, but with such a short time to recover he wasn't powerful enough to do it again.

His elbow slipped a little and Blitzo's mouse moved on his desk, lighting up the computer. Stolas looked up at the computer and was shocked to see his picture on the screen. He was laying in his bed sleeping, cuddling a pillow. He had no idea when Blitzo had taken the picture and never anticipated him being Blitzo's lock screen on his computer. Stolas had always thought it would have been horses, or Blitzo's old horse.

The bird's curiosity peaked and he clicked on the icon to log onto the computer. The screen darkened slightly as a password to enter popped onto the screen. Stolas sat there for a second wondering what the password could be. He entered different horse names, Moxxie, Millie, even Loona but the computer stayed locked. He stayed confused for a moment more before a slight blush rolled across his cheeks. Could his name be the password? No...could it?

He slowly typed his name in 'S'... no it couldn't be... 't'... could it... 'o' ... I'm wasting time... 'l' ... what else could it be... 'a' ... why get my hopes up...'s' ... at least it's a try.

He hit the enter button and the screen unlocked. Shock was spelled across his face as Blitzo had used his name as his password. Not Moxxie or Millie, not even his daughter Loona.... But him. Tears welled in his eyes as he felt Blitzo's love more than expected. He wiped his eyes then looked more at the background on this screen and the icons. There were very few icons other than a folder that said "Cute horses'' and Voogle.

Stolas looked at the background again and his blush deepend. Again he was sleeping contently but this time his arms were wrapped around Blitzo as they cuddled. Blitzo was softly smiling as he sat with a blush across his cheeks, hand in Stolas' head feathers. Stolas could feel a warmth growing in his chest and heart feeling full, the worry leaving for the moment. He moved the mouse head over to the "cute horses" folder on the screen to learn more about Blitzo; definitely not out of curiosity.

When the folder opened tears were back in Stolas' eyes. On the screen were hundreds of secret pictures of Stolas. Pictures of him asleep, in the office, at the festival, and many more. The tears slipped down Stolas' eyes as he feared he would never see Blitzo again. Stolas thought the imp hated him, or merely tolerated the owl for business, but in reality he loved Stolas just as much as Stolas loved him.

The need to protect Blitzo overwhelmed Stolas as his tears quickly stopped as anger fueled his body. He pushed back Blitzo's desk chair and walked to the center of the room. Once there he began his process to enter the human world without his book. He focused onto his hands as he placed them close to each other in front of himself. He focused all his magic and power onto his hands and began chanting the spell to the human world. A small circle began to form and he began to chant louder. He could feel his power slipping, growing weaker and weaker, but he ignored his limits and continued the spell. His nose began to bleed, tears streaming down his face again not out of sadness but out of pain.

The circle was finally large enough for him to fit through and he stopped the spell falling to his knees. Looking through the entrance to the human world he saw that the imps were all unconscious and battered black and blue on the ground. Stolas stood himself up on shaky legs and stumbled through the gate.

He looked around the area and saw no humans or even houses. They were in the forest, thick forest, and behind a line of thick shrubs. It was night in the human world and very dark, the stars barely shining through the dense trees. Stolas picked up Moxxie and Millie and placed them softly onto Blitzo's office carpet. The gate began to close as his power was struggling to keep it open. Stolas' vision began to blur but he shook his head to clear it before scooping Blitzo up bridal style and running through the small portal. Once in the office Stolas' legs gave out and he began falling forward. He quickly twisted and landed onto his back with a thud, holding the beaten Blitzo tight in his arms. The gate closed immediately, almost cutting off Stolas' tail feathers.

Stolas' vision blurred again, his consciousness slipping. He held Blitzo closer to his body before passing out. "You're safe now Blitzo...you're safe..."
