Stolas grumbled as he began to wake up; his body felt like it had been hit by a truck. He shuffled on his back and felt a weight on his chest and in his arms. His eyes slowly opened as a migraine began to form. Stolas took a moment to wait for his eyes to adjust before looking down at the weight on his chest. He was shocked to see Blitzo laying on top of him, before the memories of the previous night flooded back to him. He looked around the room and saw the carpet they had been laying on last he could remember. Did he move them to the couch? Stolas didn't think so, then laid eyes on Loona curled up on the floor.

Stolas shifted his weight in order to sit more upright on the couch. He held Blitzo in his arms and tried not to shuffle him too much. The shifting woke Loona up and she jumped onto all fours. Her eyes fixated on Blitzo to make sure he was okay. After a few seconds she realized the movement was only Stolas waking up.

"Good morning Loona. What happened?" Stolas asked Loona with a raspy voice.

Loona sat down on her butt and took Blitzo's hand in her own before responding. "I wanted to ask you that question. I came back here yesterday morning, when the work day usually starts here, but the door was still locked. I called you but you didn't answer. I knocked the door down and found you with the M duo and Blitzo." A whine of worry came from Loona at the mention of her dad's name. Her voice began to waver as bottled emotion began to overwhelm her. "Th-they were all covered in blood, you too. I- I didn't know if any of you were still alive. I bandaged up Moxxie and Millie the best I could but I'm not a doctor." Tears began to wet the hellhound's fur as she spoke. "They were beaten up so badly. Blitzo had the worst of the injuries. I should've been with them. I should've known!" Loona let go of Blitzo's hand and buried her face in her hands, overwhelmed by sadness and fear that her father would never wake up again.

Stolas was shocked to see Loona in such a state. The hellhound that usually never showed emotion, never seemed to care, was now on the floor a weeping mess. Stolas wanted to take the hellhound and wrap her in his arms, make her see that everything will be okay, but with Blitzo on his lap he was afraid to move the injured imp too much.

"Loona, dear, come here." Stolas tried to reach Loona and brushed her fur slightly. Loona pulled away, scooting further away as her body curled in on itself. He tried to stretch his arm further but couldn't reach Loona at her further away state. "Loona, please, come here."

Loona stayed still for a moment before scooting closer into Stolas' reach. "Loona, please stand up and come close." Loona was confused why Stolas wanted her to stand up, but she did anyway. Once she was standing Stolas pulled Loona into a tight hug. Loona's strength gave out and she collapsed onto the owl sobbing.

"Shhh it's alright. It's not your fault. You did amazing. Everything will be okay." Stolas continued comforting Loona the best he could as all her sadness melted into him. Tear after tear fell down Loona's face as she cried more than she ever had before. Whines and whimpers left Loona as she released everything into Stolas' comforting arms.

The door to Blitzo's office slowly opened and the two looked in the direction. Moxxie and Millie both slowly walked in the door. Loona lept from Stolas' arms and wrapped the two in a giant, yet gentle, hug. She continued crying and gave the two licks out of pure happiness. Moxxie and Millie both erupted into laughs as they hugged Loona back with their own happy tears in the corner of their eyes.

"Alright alright Loona." Millie laughed trying to separate from Loona's grasp. Loona gave the two a few more licks before releasing them.

Loona cleared her throat and wiped her eyes. "Sorry I got a bit carried away. How are you guys feeling?" Although her voice was no longer shaking her tail was wagging back and forth in a nervous manner.
