She left the confines of the warm, peaceful library and began her journey home. Once at the traffic lights she stopped and waited. As soon as the light turned green, she rushed across the road in the throng of people. Once she made it to the other side, she took a left down Murray Lane towards the main bus stop in the city centre. As the traffic light turned green, she could see only the dazzling colours of the headlights of the cars speeding by. She could smell the horrid fuels of the vehicles as they left her in the dust. But it was all muffled by the country music blasting in her ears. Of course, she doesn't always listen to only music. She loves to have the sound of audiobooks in her ears as she walks. She moved gracefully between the rushing pedestrians coming her way. All of it, she ignored. None of it was as lovely as her neighbourhood.
