(Y/N): Soul Reapers, these guardians are the ones who pass on lost souls to the afterlife. It's their duty to make sure that the overall spiritual balance does not waver. But, there's another powerful group of Hollow slayers who rival the Soul Reapers.
Wendy: Well?
Sherria: Go on! Tell us!
You were telling a story to Wendy and Sherria as the two best friends were drinking milk and eating chocolate chip cookies.
(Y/N): They're called the Quincies. There were a great number of them, and they are mortal beings who use powerful arrows that are made up of Reishi, also known as spiritual matter. When they kill Hollows, they don't purify them, like Soul Reapers do when their zanpakuto strikes the killing blow. No no, Quincy weapons outright erase Hollows from existence. And that's why the Soul Reapers began to see the Quincies are pure threats.
Wendy: Wow.
Carla then interjects.
Carla: Couldn't they have just come to an understanding?
(Y/N): Well, when you have different views, and when one side believes they are doing the right thing, eh, it's hard to come to an agreement.
Carla: Alright, continue.
(Y/N): And thus a war between Soul Reapers and Quincies was commenced. For as long as it lasted, many lost their lives, but in the end, the Quincies were exterminated by the Soul Reapers. Though their leader, the Quincy King, Yhwach Bach, could be dead or alive to this very day.
Sherria: This Yhwach guy seems dangerous.
(Y/N): He is. He's formed the Quincy clan many many years ago. Even before most of our friends were even born. Hell, he's probably older than any of the dragons!
Carla: Do you know any Quincies (Y/N)?
(Y/N): Why ask Carla?
Carla: Just curious, that's all.
(Y/N): Yeah, his name is Uryu Ishida. He's fine. A little bit of a know it, but cool nonetheless. He's usually fighting with Ichigo.
Wendy: Oh that explains it.
(Y/N): Yeah, Ishida and Ichigo didn't get along when they first met, but after a few more teamups, he's become a good friend. The reason why he can't stand Soul Reapers is mainly that his master, his grandfather was murdered by a sick depraved Soul Reaper Captain by the name of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, he claims that it's for science.
Wendy: I don't really like the sound of that.
(Y/N): Oh you shouldn't Wendy, he's not really the nicest guy, but he's on the good side for very specific reasons.
Meanwhile ... in the Soul Society ...
