Surprise - {Bucky Barnes}

Backstory: In infinity war Bucky did not blip. Over the years, before the endgame fight, you and Bucky got married and lived in a nice house. You and Bucky did fight alongside the avengers in endgame. But after Tony died everyone went their separate ways. (From here onwards the story follows the tfatws timeline.) Bucky, you and Sam are free agents but you decided to take some time off. Bucky is now coming back home to you, after getting back the shield from John walker and helping Sam with his boat. What he doesn't know is that you're 4 months pregnant. When you found out you were expecting you went to the doctor and she told you that you were already 2 months pregnant, but Bucky had already left for the mission. And Bucky has been gone for two months now so in total you are 4 months pregnant.

Y/n's POV
Bucky is finally coming back and couldn't wait to see him. These two months have been unbearable. 1. Because of the pregnancy and morning sickness and 2. Because Bucky wasn't with me.

It has been soo long since I felt him in my arms. It has been soo long since I hugged him, kissed him, and cuddled with him.

I was going to break the news to him today so I wanted it to be special. I was cooking his favourite food and dessert. I was making him a plum upside-down cake because he loves plums.

About half an hour went by and I was still cooking. I was bored, so I popped on my headphones and listened to some music.

I was facing the stove while listening to music and suddenly I felt my headphones being lifted up and away from my ears. I instantly turned around and saw Bucky smiling down at me. I shoved myself into him for a hug. He slid his hands around my waist and held me tightly. A few tears escaped my eyes.

"I missed you doll." Bucky said.
"I missed you to." I replied sniffling. He pulled away and looked at me.
"Hey, hey are- - are you crying?" He questioned with a worried look.
"No, I'm not crying." I smiled at him.
"Then why do I see tears in those beautiful eyes of yours?" He questioned again.
"These are tears of happiness. I am happy that you're finally home." I explained wiping my tears away.
"I'm happy that I'm back home too." He said calmly as he pulled me into a passionate kiss. I didn't wanna let go. I hadn't kissed him in two months. I wish we could kiss forever.

We pulled away, to regain our breath softly.
"I love you." I exclaimed.
"I love you too doll." He replied with a big smile on his face.
"Okay, doll I love you but I'm hungry and I want to eat something. Did you make any food for your amazing husband?" He asked with a puppy face.
"Of course I made food for my amazing husband. I made your favourite food. I even made you a plum upside-down cake." I smirked.
"You. Are. The. Best. Wife."
"I know." He pulled me into a quick kiss and I then went to check on the food. As I was setting the table Bucky went to our room to take a quick shower. I started predicting his reactions to when I would break the news to him. I had previously prepared a box which contained a pregnancy test, that I took today cause it would show the results for 24 hours, a baby onesie that said 'hello daddy' and a note saying 'We are pregnant'.

I was soo excited for him to find out about it. Just as I finished putting everything on the table Bucky  came and sat down on the chair. I put some food in both of our plates and we started. He started telling me about the mission and Sam's family. I listened everything carefully. I missed seeing him talk.
We finished eating the main course and now it was time for dessert.
"You know while I was staying with Sam and his family, I got to meet his nephews. And every time I looked at them I wished we had kids." He sighed. I looked at him and smirked. I couldn't hold it in any longer I had to tell him. NOW.
"Well, your wish is my command." I answered.
"Wha- - what do you mean?" He asked looking at me confusingly. I walked to the kitchen and opened the cabinet in which I had hidden the box. I brought it out and put in front of him. He gave me another confused look.
"Go ahead open it." I gestured.
"Whats inside of it?"
"Just open it."

He carefully opened the box and stared at what was in it. He was shocked. He looked really shocked. A few tears joy came out of my eyes.  I couldn't believe that I was finally telling him that I was pregnant. We were actually gonna have baby.

He looked at me with his eyes widened and pupils dilated. He wasn't able to form words.
"Wha - - were - Wha - were g- gonna have a baby?" He finally let out. I held his flesh hand in mine and nodded to assure him.
"I can't believe this. I'M GONNA BE A DAD." He exclaimed excitedly as he stood up. He picked me up bridal style and spun me around. He smashed his lips into mine with excitement.
"I'm so happy. This is the best day of my life. This is all I ever wanted, a family, kids and beautiful wife which I already have." He said as he put me down.
"Its all I ever wanted too and now we're gonna have it." I stated giggling. Bucky knelt down to my stomach and touched it carefully.
"I'm gonna be the best dad in the whole world, little bud." He said letting out a little laugh. He stood back up and I wrapped my hands around his neck. We both looked at each other with the biggest smiles on our faces.

"Can we eat that plum cake now, I'm pretty sure the baby likes dessert? Bucky asked eagerly.
"Yes we can." I nodded. He kissed me on my forehead and I headed to kitchen and brought out the cake.
We both fed each other the cake and talked about our soon to come baby.
