Once in Portugal, Indy and the Warners found out through various tips on where "Panama Hat" kept the Cross of Coronado. They took it, and they tried to escape, but all four were caught and brought onto a ship, named the Coronado, and they had come upon stormy weather.
Indy is punched in the Jaw. He is bleeding at the chin. Panama Hat comes down the stairs and stands in front of him. "Small World, Dr. Jones," he said. "Too small for the six of us," Jones retorted.
"Give it up, ya goon!" Yakko called. "We have you outnumbered Two to one!" But Panama hat signals more of his men forward. "Uhhh.... Or not..." Yakko said squeamishly. "If you have any concerns, consult my lawyer." "Thought so," Panama Hat replied.
The man took the cross off of Indy's belt. "This is the second time I've had to reclaim my property from you," Panama Hat said, Reminding Indy of the escapade he had led him on 26 years ago. "It belongs in a museum!" Indy yelled. "So do you," Panama Hat retorted.
Panama Hat then Orders his men to throw the five over the side and Into the raging Atlantic Ocean. However, Indy breaks free and Helps the others do the same. A fight ensues, with Indy swiping the Cross from Panama Hat before it is knocked out of Indy's hands.
Yakko and Wakko use mallets to deal with the two goons while Indy made a run for the Cross and grabbed it. "Let's go!" He called to the kids, and they followed him so that they can make a clean getaway.
"Grab them, they're getting away!" Panama Hat Shouted. "Stop them!" Indy punches the two goons standing in his way, before climbing up an assortment of crates and helping the Warners up to there. "Grab on!" He called as he grabbed a crane hook. "So long, suckers!" Dot called as they swang away from the boat as huge waves crashed down onto the ship as the five landed into the ocean.
They watched as a crate fell into some crates full of explosives, causing them to... well... blow up and sink the ship. Indy Swam to a nearby Life Preserver and all five grabbed onto it, and Yakko was put in the middle as he couldn't Swim. All five watched the Coronado sink into the sea below. A familiar Panama hat floated past them, but its owner was gone, so they guessed that he went down with the ship.
They held onto the Life preserver and stayed put until morning when the storm finally cleared and the Coast guard got them back to Land, and Indy had the Cross. He had won it fair and square, and Panama Hat was no longer around.
By morning, they were picked up by the Portuguese Coast Guard and caught the next plane to New York. "That was way too close," Yakko Commented. "I nearly drowned." "Good thing you held on to me then," Indy joked.
Yakko shrugged and laughed with his Friend. "Now that I told you about my Youth..." Indy went on, changing the subject. "I was wondering about the time when we first met."
"You know," Wakko replied, "We've been having so much fun in our adventures that we have totally forgotten!" "You're writing a book, aren't you?" Indy asked. Wakko nodded in the affirmative. "So..." Indy said thoughtfully. "Why don't you write your next chapter about that?"
"Sounds Good!" Wakko replied. "Now, let's see here... if I'm gonna write about our first meeting... Aha! Flashback sequence! "Chapter 2... 'Our First Meeting.'
Flashback
Warner Bros. Studios, Present Day.
"What on earth Happened?" Was all that Yakko could say. "Dah, Someone named Klara turned Nora Rita Norita into a Statue, and the Only way she can be turned back is with a special artifact," Ralph replied.
"Klara Von Warnerstone, no doubt." Dot said. "Our evil German Cousin is on the loose again?" Wakko asked. "I thought she was serving time in Tehachapi!" "She was," Yakko explained, "but she escaped not too long ago, if you forget."
