Realization

Two weeks later

Monday

Your foot had fully healed and you were finally able to take off the bandage that was on it.
Your mother took it off, seeing that was was a doctor and all.
"How does it feel?", she questioned.
"Pretty great, thanks Mom", you replied and smiled at her.
She returned a smile.
"That's good to hear, now be careful",
She replied
"Will do", you replied.

You stayed home for one week the first fraction that your ankle was sprained and went to school the second week.
It was nice though because you didn't have to attend any physical education classes.

It was also nice the one week that you were home because Himiko and Akari sent all the work that was given in class to you and explained anything to you that you didn't understand. You were greatful to have them as friends.
On Friday on your last day home they even visited you after school and brought your favorite snacks and drinks for you.

The past two weeks you didn't particularly see anyone from toman except Emma, Mikey and Draken because they came over to your house to check up on you to see if you were doing okay.
It was nice of them to do that.

At night and on evenings you and Baji would tend to text each other often and at night you'd always have to end up telling him to go to sleep because the both of you need to be rested for the day ahead of you, however he'd debate the point that talking to you is nice, and you internally agreed with him because you knew you felt the same towards him because you knew to yourself that you smiled everytime you saw a notification pop up on your phone and it was from him.

Baji and Chifuyu were both walking home from school together as they usually would.
"So tell me, what's been on your mind?", Chifuyu suddenly said.
"What?", Baji replied and raised a brow.
"What's on your mind, there's something you've been wanting to tell me right?", he replied staring straight ahead with his hands in his pockets.
"What- how did you know that?", Baji questioned raising a brow in confusion.
"I've known you long enough to know when you've got something on your mind", he replied and looked at him.
"You're weird", Baji replied.
"Just tell me already", Chifuyu replied.
"Okay fine", Baji replied.
"I wanted to tell you this for some time now it's just that I didn't know how to go about doing so", he replied.
"You should know by now that you can tell me anything", Chifuyu replied.
"Alright well, ever since I met y/n at first I thought she was annoying but like that quickly changed when I actually met her in real life and then the thought of her has always been in my mind and I even stay up late talking to her because she's fun to talk to and she's also so pretty and a badass and sometimes when I talk to her I can feel my heart pounding in my chest. What the fuck is even happening to me? This never happened before Chifuyu what do I do?", he said, a but of frustration in his voice.
"Sounds to me like you like her", Chifuyu replied.
"What? Everyone likes her what do you mean.", Baji replied.
"No, not like her. Like like her", Chifuyu replied, a smiled creeping on his face.
He found it insightful and amusing that Baji was beginning to like someone and that he was there to witness it and also the fact that he trusted him enough to let him be the first person to know about it.
"Oh no what if you're right. What do I do?", Baji replied still sounding frustrated.
"Just tell her bro", Chifuyu shrugged.
"I can't do that", Baji replied.
"Why not?", Chifuyu replied.
"What if she doesn't like me back?", Baji replied.
"Then you'll get rejected duh. Life goes on", Chifuyu replied.
"But she's an amazing girl I'm sure tons of guys like her. I'm probably just another one right.", he replied.
"Then join the line bro, just don't be one to watch from the distance, she should atleast know that you like her.", Chifuyu replied.
"I guess you're right, but I won't do it now, I'll give it time", he replied.
"Take your time if you have to it's not like any one of us is gonna die or anything", Chifuyu replied.
"You're right. Thanks Chifuyu", Baji replied and gave him a smile.
"Anytime", Chifuyu replied and smiled back at him.
"Wanna go for Yakisoba?", Baji questioned.
"Sure", Chifuyu replied.

In the short space of one month you and Baji basically learned each other's interests, favorite colours, favorites movies, who do each of you care about, love and respect, you even mentioned your friends to him so he has an idea of their personalities. You know, the basics that are listed when getting to know someone. You and him even shared a couple interests, some being certain foods that the both of you liked, and the conclusion that you got from getting to know all this about him was that he was a really interesting person and that you were glad you met him.
I mean sure he can be difficult at times but you'd never admit it to his face but you agreed whenever he called you stubborn.

You would be lying yourself if you said you didn't smile everytime a notification from him showed up on your phone. You even tend to catch yourself smiling at his messages often and would even from time to time feel your face heat up evertime you send him a picture of you and he bluntly calls you pretty, beautiful or gorgeous, not that he knew how to properly spell the words beautiful nor gorgeous, yet you'd always correct him and find it cute that even though he can't spell it he still tries to tell you that you are said words.
In all honesty a fair share of feelings were being thrown your way as well and in your mind you knew you had a small crush on him, not that you had any intention of telling him that is.
You wouldn't even tell your closest friends Himiko and Akari because they'd endlessly tease you about it and you wouldn't want that.
