Crystal clear glass doors that open as soon as you draw near, the most gifted students around every corner, a place for the greatest nobles and most talented mages.... That was what everyone thought of when they heard the name Silver Wing Academy.

However, as a new student who's lived her whole life at home, it didn't sound very appealing. To make things worse, I should have been going to the academy this entire time, but my parents didn't want me to go outside. Not that I didn't like that, I would, in fact, prefer that. Regretfully, my parents thought I was ready to live in the real world.

So, I enrolled in the academy, where I was to live... With a bunch of strangers... Socializing with someone other than family, for the FIRST time in my whole life, all by myself... It sounded horrifying. Sadly, I had no choice in the matter, as I was a child.

As I hid behind some bushes, watching and waiting until humanity ceased to exist (At least in the halls), I was really starting to rethink my unconditional love for my parents. I wished they would recall their decision and let me continue to live in the comfort of my own home. Though there was still stress there, it was nothing compared to the burden of doing something you have never done in your life.

I hated being how tense I was feeling just thinking about talking to a stranger. It was challenging even introducing myself to the servants at home. I dreaded to think what it would be like with someone my own age. Even my siblings were and are a fright to talk to.

I shook my mind away from those thoughts, though, because the halls were finally free of children. So I left my hiding spot and entered the building, looking for people so I'd know when to flee.

I was looking at the classrooms trying to find my class, when I noticed somebody familiar. A girl who was my only friend in all of history was sitting next to a creepy-looking girl chatting. My feet walked unconsciously toward her. Sitting in the seat next to her, I listened in on their discussion.

"Did you know both of the real Princess' are coming here this year?" The creepy student spoke in a mysterious breathy voice. I flinched at the phrase 'Real Princess' I didn't like when other people said that about me. Most of my siblings may not be blood-related to my parents or me, but we're still family. It hurt hearing other people calling them fakes, and I was sure they felt even worse about it.

Shire my old friend replied, not noticing my sudden appearance asked, "Harvest is coming here?" Shire's hair was heather purple, and was cut short unlike the long hair I remembered her wearing when we were friends.

"Harvest? Who?"

"Oh, the youngest princess, that's one of her middle names. Her sibling started calling her that, so it kind of caught on with me too."
