Dark Impulses

(Superman struggled to block Wonder Woman's barrage of punches)

Superman: "Diana! Stop! It's me! Your friend!"

(Wonder Woman yelled with ferocity and kicked him hard, sending him hurdling through the air)

Wonder Woman: "Friend?! FRIEND Kal-El???"

(She roared as she snatched a flying car and tossed it at him, he caught it and pushed it away safely as it continued on)

(She used the distraction to slam into him, her face coming very close to his)

Wonder Woman: "If you bothered to take your eyes off that Lane woman for one moment perhaps you'd notice me for once!"

Superman: "Diana..you're not yourself. Something's happened to you. Just calm down and we'll figure it out."

Wonder Woman: "You are not listening, Kal! I cannot stand seeing you with Lois! I want to be with you!"

(Clark was stunned as Diana pressed a tender kiss to his lips)

(The wind flowed high above the futuristic city as their kiss continued...)

(When it ended, Diana calmed down and searched his eyes deeply)

Diana: "Clark I...I.."

(Two web lines attached to her feet and yanked her back down to Earth)

Superman: "No!"

(He flew after her and took her hand in free fall, he used heat vision to melt the webs just as Spider-Man swung in and kicked them both onto a rooftop)

Superman: "Spider-Man! What are you doing?!"

Spider-Man: "Saving your pathetic butt."

(He leapt at Wonder Woman but Superman blocked his way)

Superman: "Enough! She's no longer a threat!"

Spider-Man: "Oh really? I doubt Lois will see it that way."

(Superman glared and shoved him into a wall)

Superman: "What's happening to you?"

Spider-Man: "Nothing. I'm just not keeping my thoughts to myself anymore. You should try it sometime."

(Superman scanned him with x-ray vision)

Superman: "This black suit..it's...a living thing..it's altering you..listen to me you need to take it off immediately!"

Spider-Man: "Yeah you'd like that wouldn't ya? To be the one with all the power? Well not anymore. Now it's my turn."

Superman: "Listen to yourself, Peter! That suit it's...it's some kind of alien parasite!"

Spider-Man: "...look who's talking."

(Clark was taken aback by that)

(Wolverine leapt down at Spider-Man who grabbed him in midair and slammed him down onto the ground)

Spider-Man: "Nice try, animal. But I'm stronger, faster and better looking than you three losers put together."

Wolverine: "That's it...I ain't gonna hold back no more!"

Wonder Woman: "Wait!"

(She sped into Spider-Man, head butted him as fast as she could and flung him onto the ground)

(She wrapped her lasso around him as Superman held him down)

Wonder Woman: "Do not do this, Peter Parker. We're your friends. Come back to us."

(The symbiote struggled and attempted to lash out at them when Superman froze it with freeze breath as soon as it was off of Spider-Man, Superman tossed it into a wall and fired his heat vision, incinerating it)

(Spider-Man sat up, groaning)

Spider-Man: "Is this what a hangover feels like?"

(Everyone looked around uncomfortably)

Spider-Man: "Guys...I'm sorry..for everything I said and did...I hope you can forgive me.."

Wonder Woman: "Of course, Peter. This has been a..stressful few days..for us all."

(She gave Clark a deep look of longing as he looked away sadly)

Spider-Man 2099: "Holy shock!"

Wolverine: "What the..?!"

(A second Spider-Man leapt down and stared at the group)

Spider-Man 2099: "You're...you're the original..aren't you?"

Spider-Man: "Uh...do I know you?"

Spider-Man 2099: "Not exactly. My name's Miguel O'Hara. The Spider-Man of 2099."

(The group gasped)

Spider-Man: "...they're just giving the bloody title away now."
