based on harry & simon making the joke in a blind date video that "my date got the shit and sicks"

harry and simon were going on their first ever date tonight.
harry was shitting himself; not literally, but still.

simon was in his shared flat with his best friend, jj, annoying him every waking second asking him about what he should do in certain situations and how he should dress, nearly about everything.

this was simons first date with a guy, and though he's known about his attraction to males, he never really pursued it, all up until jj's friend, ethan, set simon up with the infamous harry lewis.

it's not like they're complete strangers. harry was a youtuber, just like simon, they shared a social circle but never really hung out one on one.

from what simon remembers, harry was a cute, kind, and nervous person.

but, he never really knew him, maybe a few words have been exchanged between the two, but nothing other than some simple "hello's" and "in a bit's"

this only increased simons nerves, he truly had no clue what to do.

on harrys side, when he received a text from ethan saying he has secured him a date, harry was all sorts of concerned, shocked, and overall, freaking out.

he will admit that he has been on some dates with some very dodgy people, but that was his own doing through the damned dating apps he's signed up for.

ethan is his best mate, surely it couldn't be so bad, can it?

ethan told the both of them that their date was on friday, on wednesday. two days.

harry had two days to get choose an outfit, get his head straight, and just all around get prepared.

simon had no clue what to do. he begged jj to tell ethan to at least take the stress and pick a place for the pair of them to go to.

ethan gladly accepted, quickly thinking of a way to stiff them both, put them in an awkward position, but decided against it, harry deserved to get a break.

"please cal," harry pleaded, "just tell me what i should do."

cal just continued to laugh at him, harry seems so nervous, and cal is just eating it up. harry is hating all of it.

"mate, calm down, it's just a date, you've been on plenty," cal looks harry and down, teasing him about the amount of dates he's been on, about ninety percent of which have failed.

"i'm sure it'll be okay, just be, well- y'know, harry." the taller finished. leaving harry with a pat on the shoulder as he retreats to his own room.

at that moment, harry was left with his thoughts, and a pile of outfits surrounding him.

it's around an hour before the agreed time to meet. simon is currently sitting in his living room, scrolling through tiktok, trying to ignore the buzzing in his stomach and chest due to the nerves.
