The Boy

The inspiration behind this one came from when I was tying my knock off vans, and noticed how worn they seemed.

**TRIGGER WARNING!** MENTIONS OF ABUSE!

Pale, slim fingers tightened and knotted the laces of the beat up, grungy, classic black and white vans. The owner of the slim fingers pushed the pant legs of his loose fitting black jeans down over his pale, skinny ankles before  he grabbed his usual black zip up hoodie, and pulled it on over his worn band t-shirt . Taking the zipper in his nimble fingers he pulled it up, the crisp sound of the zipper moving filling the silent air. "I'll be back later." The teenage boy called quietly into the empty house before he walked out the door, locking it behind him.

Walking down the street of his small lower-middle class neighborhood, the teenager looked down as he walked, knowing the path to where he was going by heart, only looking up when he had to cross the street as not to get hit until he made it to his destination. Looking up at the window of the familiar shop his shining chocolate eyes scanned over the poster in excitement and wonder, pushing dark chestnut hair out of his eyes, the smiling face, and half smirking face of his two heroes looking back at him. "You like the Captain and Sergeant huh?" The quiet, yet slightly husky voice of a stranger asked behind him. "Well, yea...They're pretty cool..." The teen started "Captain Rogers started as a shrimpy stick of a guy like me and became one of the most loved heroes over night." The boy said, his voice filled with admiration and excitement over the fictional hero. "And Sergeant Barnes?" The stranger questioned, hiding his face from the boy, knowing he'd be seen in the windows reflection. "Sergeant Barnes, before he became the Winter Solider was a pretty cool guy, then...forced to do a whole bunch of stuff against his will, but! Once Captain Rogers helped him out he fought to be a better guy despite struggling with his sins of his past." The boy answered, speaking as if he knew what it was like to be in the place of the fictional man "He...was saved." The boy finished, memories flooding his own mind of past abuse, things he'd been made to do before a young man saved him, taking the teen on as his younger brother. "So...You admire them," The stranger stated "Yea," The teen nodded, looking down at the thick silver bracelet with a single red star on it. "What about you?" The teen asked, finally turning around to look at the stranger, something about his build familiar. The stranger lifted his head to look at the teen, taking the ball cap he wore off "You could say I like them." The man spoke as realization hit the teen "Y-You're.." The teen stuttered looking into the blue eyes of the actor "Yea kid," He said with a small chuckle, placing his hands in his pockets.

This is all that came to mind...if you didn't understand it, the boy has a rough past, idolizing Captain America, and the Winter Solider. The stranger, if you didn't get the hint was the actor who played the Winter Solider\Bucky Barnes, Sebastian Stan...this was simply an idea, I do not own anything belonging to Marvel, nor Sebastian Stan in any way shape or form. This may also be added to, edited, or redone at a later date.
