Ellie's POV
It happened, it really did.
The prison community came to pick us up so we can join them. People were crying of joy, and some weren't happy at all. I have mixed feelings about this. What if they aren't nice? What if there aren't any kids my age? Im not sure about any of this. I'm currently sitting in an old prison bus, everything silent, except for the sound of babies crying. We pass at least three dozen walkers, which worries several people. The road is rocky, and everyone shakes in their seats.
We begin to see a guardtower, which is obviously our destination. People begin to scuffle in their seats, and try to get a better look. I stay in my spot, waiting for the bus to stop.
Once we finally stop, a girl named Maggie led us off. "Everyone must sign a form." she says, helping the elderly down the steps. I finally arrive to the door, and examine her. She looks quite friendly and trustworthy. More people are here than I expected. "Wow." I mutter after I sign my name under the slip (in picture). I look around in awe. This place is huge. I look over to the side, and see a boy about my age. We exchange looks, then walk into seprate directions.Sorry its so short! its really late. im so excited to begin this!
