// Ellie's POV //
I wander the whole prison. I searched every cellblock, and dont find him. I walk outside, and turn. "Where the he-" I begin to say, before being cut off by Carl running into me. "Hey, redhead." He tells me. I'm not sure what to say, so I just hesitate. "Hey, Sheriff." I respond quietly, looking down as I kick piece of rock around as we just stand there awkwardly. He breaks the silence. "So, I heard you were looking for me." He says, smirking with his hands in his pockets. I hate to admit it, but he's quite cute. "Yeah. I just wanted to tell you tha-" I try to say. Why do I keep getting cut off today?
Lizzie Samuels, one of the girls who I saw on the bus, was running out of Cellblock D, screaming. I couldn't make out what she said, but everyone started panicking. "Follow me!" Carl screamed. Without a word, I followed him.

I lead Ellie to Maggie and Glenn's guardtower. "They keep their guns and things up here. Shoot from here." I say, looking at her. She looks worried. "Don't hesitate." I whisper to her, looking into her eyes and brushing her hand. I snap back into reality, and begin shooting. I look over at the fence, looking at the two dozen walkers trying to get in. As the fence leans, I shoot as many as I could. Im not allowed to use a gun, but its needed.
I look back at Ellie, who instead of shootimg, is im the corner, crying. I out my gun down, and walk over to her. "E-Ellie?" I ask, bending down. "I cant do this." I hear in the middle of her crying. "What do you mean?" I ask her, scooting over to her.

"Im weak." I whisper. "I cant shoot, I let my family die, I can't do anything." I look up at him with puffy eyes. He takes my hand awkwardly, which boosts up my confidence a bit. "It's okay." He tells me.
