~~~The Ritual Of Chud~~~
"MIKE!"
"WAIT!"
"MIKE!"
The Losers yelled for him to not go in yet but it was too late. Mike lowered himself into the passageway and slowly climbed down the rocky walls.
Adelaide sighed before her eyes looked at Bill's. She walked towards the tunnel, looking at Mike who was slowly climbing down, hands clutching the rocky wall tightly. Adelaide sat on the edge despite Bill's disagreement.
"Del, wait," he tried to stop her.
"I'll be fine, Billy," she tried to smile. "Just please, stay together," she pleaded, eyes looking at the group. "Please," she said, looking at Bill who nodded.
Adelaide lowered down and climbed down after Mike. Her flashlight dangled over her shoulder just as it was when she was going down the well. Her skin was grazed against the rocks, causing them to redden.
Her body felt heavy, her arms weak and she could feel her hands slipping. Thankfully, she clutched the rocks harder to balance herself as she went down. At the end of the tunnel, she could see Mike standing there.
She jumped down, her legs landing right on the ground beside Mike. Bill arrived not long after. Then, Richie, Bev, Eddie, and Ben. Once everyone was safe, they walked towards a small, horizontal opening.
A dim light appeared from the other side of the opening and Adelaide knew they had to somehow fit through the opening to get to the other side. She sighed, watching as Mike crawled through it, his body barely fitting the small space.
"Can you get through that?" Bill asked with concern.
"It's the only way. This way," Mike yelled. "It's in here."
Bill crawled in next, slightly groaning as he moved. He looked back at Adelaide, muttering, "Through here. It's tight but we can get through."
Adelaide nodded, taking a deep breath before crawling on the ground herself. The rocky ground grazed against the skin of her already red palms.
She whimpered against the small pain, finally reaching the opening. She got through it and Bill helped her out from the other side. She sent him a grateful smile and composed herself, shining her flashlight around the big cavern.
"Holy shit," she cursed under her breath, eyes latching onto the odd-looking spikes that emerged from the ground. There were a lot of them, too. "What in the bloody hell is this?"
"This is where It hid," Mike said, walking past her.
She felt Bill's hand connecting with her own. They walked together, nearing the spikes. Their legs moved in sync, walking through the gaps of the unusual spikes, following behind Mike as the tall man led them.
