Guns N' Roses and One Direction have- or rather had (hehe Zayn Malik...) -5 members each. The similarities are few from there on out, however. One Direction wear bright colours and have written so many love songs it's impossible to tell who they're writing about, guns have written few love songs directed quite obviously at singular women, the rest of their songs being about where they were at the time (emotionally, mentally, physically), and about the sex drugs and rock n roll lifestyle. Guns came out with harder, deeper instrumentals that it takes some fair effort to learn to play (most of it) and the empowering vocals of Axl Rose on top. One Direction have soft, simplistic music tracks and five singers- because one singer or even two at once haven't got a powerful enough musical and vocal dynamic to last three seconds. No, it takes five men before the songs can be sung with the appropriate gusto, and the vocals are not hard to sing in key and in time.
