Tam had taken me on a date in the forbidden cities, we went to a human restaurant.
We were taking a walk around the city.

"Ooh! These flowers are pretty."
I glimpsed some roses and bent down to look closer.
"Can you stop that?"
I felt Tam's voice echo around my head.
He must have shadow-whispered it.
"Why?"
I asked, whispering.
"That guy is looking at you. Your skirt keeps flaring up in the wind..."
He pointed to a boy glancing her way.
"No."
I said, standing my ground.
He sighed.
Then he glared at the boy and stalked up to him.
Grabbed his collar and snarled under his breath,
"Mine."
He then threw him across the street.
He grabbed my hand, and pulled me into an alleyway.
