Chapter 6- part 1

Sidharth slammed the door of his room with his foot frustrated with how terribly the day had gone, making sure shehnaaz did not fall down from his arms. She was sleeping soundly in his arms, smushing one of her tear-streaked cheek near his heart. His little baby had cried so much today, just remembering her broken face bought a slight tear to his eye. He carefully sat on his bed, positioning shehnaaz so that she was still snuggled to him like a koala while he sat propped up against the headboard. He sighed, rubbing his eyes in frustration and recounting this absolute mess of a day.

-FLASHBACK-

The trio entered the conference room. The head of the channel, Mr. Thakur smiled when he saw the sibling duo which immediately turned into a frown when Sidharth came into view. He did not like his presence in the meeting, Sidharth Shukla was his only professional weak point. Sid was shrewd and calculative, he could easily see through any manipulative techniques. He did all his projects on his own terms, bending the channel to his whims time and time again. What made him formidable was his massive fan following, they couldn't pass any opportunities of working with him or they lost valuable TRP's. Mr. Thakur wanted to take advantage of shehnaaz's naivety and use her popularity for the channels gain. He took a deep breath, trying to calm down and stick to his original plan of targeting shehnaaz and getting what he wants.

"Sid! What a surprise! Didn't expect to see you here. Shehnaaz, shehbaaz welcome! Please take a seat all of you." Said Mr. Thakur plastering a fake smile on his face. " It's nice meeting you again Mr. Thakur. Shehnaaz is a very dear friend and she wanted me here at the meeting. Hope you don't mind." Said Sidharth with a smirk on his face. " Im sorry sir, but mujhe iski presence mein hi yeh meeting karni hai." Backed shehnaaz grasping Sid's hand from under the table, flashing her innocent smile. Shehbaaz nodded in agreement.

" No worries! Let's not waste any time and get straight to business. Shehnaaz I would like to propose a new show centered around you. The audience loves you immensely and we would want to increase the love you get from them. Hum aapke saath ek aur reality show karna chahte hai. Hum ek dating show karna chahte hai. Jahan app 10 ladko ke saath ek ghar mein hongi and woh aapko apna banana ki koshish karenge." When Mr. Thakur ended his little speech he expected shehnaaz to jump up in excitement but instead shehnaaz frowned in concern after listening to his proposition. " Par sir, fans ko toh main aur sidharth pasand hai ! Main kisi aur ke saath yeh show kyun karu ?" asked shehnaaz, tightening her hold on Sid's hand and looking at him with alarm. " Logistically speaking, this plan may backfire thakur. The fans would be confused about shehnaaz's changing priorities and this would reflect badly on her." Reasoned Sidharth, appalled at this dumb proposal. " yeh plan pura ulta par jayega sir, Sidnaaz bohot famous hai, hume usse break nahi karna chaiye." Backed shehbaaz, finding not even an ounce of sense in the idea.

"Before you make up your mind Shehnaaz, I would like you to meet one of the potential contestants on the show. This might change your mind." Added thakur after seeing everyone's reaction. His last hope was playing on shehnaaz's mind. He made a phone call and asked his secretary to let him in. Low and behold, Gautam Gulati walked in with a cocky smirk on his face. Sidharth gritted his teeth in frustration seeing the guy, he still didn't get what shehnaaz saw in him. He was way too overconfident and cocky. Gautam expected a similar reaction to what he had seen the last time he had visited shehnaaz in the BB house. But this time to his utter surprise, while shehnaaz did smile seeing him enter she continued sitting next to Sidharth. He coughed to hide his surprise before saying, " Hello everybody. Shehnaaz kya tum mere saath ek minute baat karogi akele mein. Just in the adjoined cabin next door." Reciting what Mr. Thakur had told him. Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth in confusion, he gently nodded before whispering in her ear, " Andar jaa ke mujhe call karliyo silently. Mai bhi baate sun lunga iss tarah." She nodded meekly at him before getting up and following Gautam to the adjoining room.

Meanwhile, Sid decided to throw a curveball at Thakur knowing his selfish nature. " Why don't you cast paras instead of shehnaaz. While he may not be as popular as Shehnaaz, he is the most eligible out of all the contestants. Me and shehnaaz can star in the premier to get the audience interested. Im pretty sure you know how powerful our combined popularity can be." Sid smirked when he saw Thakur in confusion, since this was a much more viable idea. While Shehbaaz further elaborated on the pros of the plan with thakur, Sidharth felt his phone ring. He quickly excused himself and went to the side to listen to the conversation.

"Kya shehnaaz. You didn't even hug me this time! Picchle baar toh you couldn't control yourself. Don't be shy I don't mind." Offered Gautam. " Nahin koi baat nahi. Also sorry for last time woh maine Sidharth ko jealous karne ke liye kiya tha." Said shehnaaz, already growing antsy at the whole situation. " So, yeh tumhara dusra version Sidharth ki wajah se he." Taunted Gautam, " koi sidharth nahi aane wala hai tumhare liye baby. Even if he might say that he cares for you, he is only passing time with you. Look at him and look at you, apni hopes mat uchi karo." " How dare you. Tum jante hi kitna ho hum ke equation ke baare mein. This is my personal life." Stated shehnaaz in anger ready to get up and leave the room. She wanted to go back to her baby, but before she could do so Gautam grabbed her arm. " You really are dumb. Tumhe aisa kyun lagta hai ki tumhara koi chance hai. Tumhe English bolne nahi aati, Tum moti ho and honestly Kind of irritating and childish. No one can tolerate you for long. Sidharth is way out of your league. Uski Ex girlfriends were all so beautiful and high class."

By this time shehnaaz had tears in her eyes and was struggling to free her arm out of his hold. His words were really piercing her heart. Suddenly the door to the room burst open and there stood Sidharth fuming in anger. " Haath chodh uska gulati. Main tera muh todh dunga abhi."

Shehnaaz quickly freed herself and ran towards him, hugging him. Sidharth quickly wound a protective hand across her waist bringing her even more close. Just as Gulati opened his mouth to justify himself, Thakur and Shehbaaz entered the room. Shehbaaz quickly realized something bad must have happened and lunged at Gulati. " Kya kiya tune kamine.!" Punching gulati in the face. Thakur watched helplessly as the situation escalated.

Sidharth realized that shenaaz was on the verge of another panic attack and decided to ensure her safety over everything else. " SHEHBAAZ. Ruk jaa abhi. Thakur if you don't want your reputation ruined since I have the whole conversation recorded on my phone, gulati maar khayega shehbaaz ke haatho se aur tum yeh dekhoge apne samne taki next time you remember it could be you. Shehbaaz inhe nikal yaha se aur car parking mein le jaa. There is no one there. Don't worry about us mein shehnaaz ko ghar lehjaunga." Just as shehbaaz dragged gulati away and a scared thakur followed, Sidharth grabbed his collar and said, " BB mein sab kehte the main gunda hu. Agli baar meri shehnaaz ko pareshan kiya toh asli mein pata chalega Gunda kya hota hai, Samjha thakur. Now get lost and ensure no one comes here."
