Once he left the room Halo rolled out from under the bed, he stood up and stretched slightly before sitting on Skeppy's bed, Halo crossed his legs and started humming a song that his mother would sing to him when he was a human child, long ago, he started thinking about his past... causing him to tear up slightly so he quickly shrunk his horns & shuffled under Skeppys blanket. When Skeppy returned he saw a tail, slowly flicking side to side, poking out from under his blanket "Halo? What're ya' doing?"

Halo didn't respond but Skeppy heard some sniffles, "Halo are you okay?" He said walking around the bed to be on the side halo was facing. Crouching down he gave halo a concerned look as he waited for an answer

"Y-yeah I'm okay S'geppy" he replied sadly "I was just waiting for you" he shivered & his tail stopped swishing, now curling up to his face & wiping away a small tear, Skeppy felt bad for his new friend so he sat down on the bed next to Halo & started stroking his fluffy hair, almost as soon as he did this Halo started purring like a cat and rested his head on Skeppys lap What? Is he a fucking cat? Actually, who cares, he's adorable either way Skeppy softly smiled and soon Halos purrs turned to soft snores so Skeppy stood up and went over to the old seat in the corner, falling asleep before he fully sat down.

Halo woke up first, seeing Skeppy on the seat made him feel bad. He went over and gently picked Skeppy up setting him on his bed. Halo sat down on the floor leaning against the wall waiting for Skeppy to wake. He sat there for a while just letting his mind wander before he heard skeppy's tired voice "halo, where'd you go" "Goodmorning Geppy" he replied with as much energy as he could muster, which wasn't much, Skeppy rolled over to face Halo "Why're you on the ground?" Halo just blinked at him so Skeppy stood up and grabbed a fresh pair of clothes then walked off to the bathroom to take a shower

Halo watched him walk away, when Skeppy shut the bathroom door Halo stood up stretching. how long had I been sitting there he wandered being sore from sitting in one position for so long, he poked his head around the corner of the doorframe, all clear, he walked out of the room & found the stairs Stairs? He ducked his head & stepped down into the foyer then walked into the kitchen, another human had its back to him making something, probably more of the little food circles on the table

He ducked away thinking about what Skeppy has told him earlier. He was internally fighting himself on if he should go see what the other human was doing or go back to skeppys room, He chose to stay, quietly stalking closer to the small table in the center of the room, he grabbed one of the small food circles and stuffed it in his mouth as he watched the human make more of them

The human began moving as if looking for something, Halo realized he should probably hide and quickly ducked out of sight looking for a good place, he ended up underneath the table, curled up with his knees tucked up to his chest, tail flicking nervously until he realized that it wasn't under the table, it was flicking around close to the humans feet then suddenly, the human stepped backwards and trod on his sensitive tail, he let out a small squeak & suddenly the human turned around & looked under the table

"Wait" Halo heard Skeppy yell as he saw what was happening. The human paused just before looking under the table "what" the human said giving Skeppy an annoyed look "Ummmm, I umm, need you to help me do ummmmm something" Skeppy pleaded "Sure" Thank god "What do you need me to do?"

fuck Skeppy though what do I say? "umm could you.. teach me to make those?" He said pointing to the small food circles on the table.

"You, you want to learn how to make pancakes?" she asked surprised "Uh, yes! Yes i do" he said cheerfully while making frantic gestures with his hands to Halo "Okay then" she said "Just let me go get some extra ingredients" she walked off and Skeppy crouched down to make eye contact with Halo "WHAT ARE YOU DOING DOWN HERE" he whispered angrily

"You were in the shower and I wanted to explore" Halo said quickly, looking guilty "Also I was hungy" "What are you doing Skeppy?" They heard the other human say. Skeppy quickly stood up. " I was just trying to figure out what you were doing earlier" he lied

Her eyes brightened as she shuffled over and placed down a lot of different ingredients on the table then picked up a bowl & spoon, handing it to Skeppy she started showing him the order in which to add the ingredients & how to stir it properly

While she was teaching him to make the pancakes, Skeppy was occasionally glancing down making sure halo was out of sight, thankfully, he was, he also had his ears perked, listening as the older human explained the recipe for the little food circles she called 'pancakes' Skeppy found this adorable, he liked the way Halos fluffy ears swiveled & shifted around to best hear what his grandmother was saying

Skeppy smiled shifting his attention back to his Skeppy smiled shifting his attention back to his grandmother as she began explaining how to tell when to flip themo tell when to flip them

Skeppy attempted to flip the pancakes, which resulted in multiple on the ground & ceiling, any of them that fell on the floor, Halo would eat "How are you so bad at this" his grandmother laughed "I'm not bad at this" He grumbled "You're just really good" "Skeppy you got it on the ceiling! Your horrible at this" she smiled

Skeppy didn't return her smile, instead choosing to grumble about how he was regretting this as he turned back to the pancake he was flipping, it was legitimately on fire "AEEE" he cried and let go off the pan, it dropped and the pancake landed on the tip of Halos tail, setting it on fire as well, It didn't hurt Halo but he desperately slammed it into the ground trying to put the fire out before anyone noticed it
