A Royal Lie (Changlix)

Chapter 1

3rd POV:

"Felix! Come here for a second!!"

Felix, who was only 10 years old at the time, happily jumped up from where he was lying on the floor in his bedroom watching TV. He quickly made his way through his large bedroom and ran through the long halls, which were decorated with paintings of close relatives and exotic art. The long rug that ran through the large halls and down the grand stairway was a beautiful emerald green, which had been the the signature color of the Malvina family for generations since the kingdom was founded. He made his way down the huge flight of stairs until he reached the main entryway where his father was standing.

"Yes, Father?" Felix asked as he ran up behind his father and wrapped his arms around him.

Felix's father looked down at his son and smiled as he ruffled his blond hair.

"There's a lovely woman that I'd like for you to meet." Said his father, putting a hand on his back and bringing him forward to see a beautiful woman standing in front of them.

She had long, black hair that flowed over her shoulders with eyes so dark that they gave Felix the chills. She wore a fitted black dress, showing off her curvy body with a huge fluffy fur coat. She also had a big smile on her face as if she was the happiest person in the world to be there.

"Who is she?" Felix asked his father, not taking his eyes off of the woman.

"Felix, this is Diana. We've been seeing each other for quite some time now, and I think that it's finally time I introduce you to her."

"Felix? How nice, you have the same name as your father." Diana said with a small laugh.

Felix smiled back. "Yes! I'm Felix, nice to meet you."

He then bowed, causing Diana to clap her hands in delight.

"Oh, he's been taught so well, honey. He's such a gentleman. And at such a young age!"

Felix stood back upright and his father put a hand on his left shoulder. "He goes to the most prestigious school in the country, so he is taught very well. He will be the next King of Malvina after all!"

"Mmm... yes. Well, where should my things go?" Diana asked, quickly changing the subject as three of the palace servants walked in holding suitcases.

"Put them in my room please." Felix's father told the servants.

"Yes, my king." They said, making their way up the stairs.

  Felix looked up at his father in confusion. "Are those hers? Is she staying for a while?"

Diana covered her mouth with her hand as she laughed. "Oh no little one, I'll be staying here permanently."

"Permanently?"

"That's right Felix." Said his father. "We're getting married, so Diana will be your new mom."

Felix's face lit up at the mention of a mom. He'd never met his own because she'd died when he was very young, so he was feeling overjoyed at the thought of having a mom.

"Wow! I can't wait!" He exclaimed.

But little did he know, that this woman was going to change his life. And not for the better.

Time Skip:

A 16th birthday is a special time for any child born into a royal family. It is special because once the eldest child turns 16 years old, It is announced to the world that they will become the new king or queen of the kingdom. Of course, they can't have the throne until they're married, but it is so that all of the townspeople, and everyone in the kingdom will know who their future ruler will be.
