As the jet lands, you feel a gentle hand card through your hair and soft words being said but you are so comfortable you choose to ignore the rest of the world and focus on falling back asleep. Someone chuckles, but the hand continues. This time the person speaking is louder when they speak, but their voice is still calm and soothing.

"Come on Sweetheart. I know you're tired but you got to move." It is Tony, your brain registers, but instead of answering you let out a huff of air and sink further into the seat. Tony chuckles again. "You can sleep in the car, but unless you want me to carry you, you need to get up so we can get off the plane." You groan but stand up, taking the blanket and wrapping it around your shoulders and over your head so only your face was showing. Tony smiles brightly and you give him an unimpressed look, but he just smiles wider and pretends to straighten out the edges of the blanket around your face.

You and Tony return to the tower with little fuss or questions. By the time the car pulls up out front, you are more awake and have shed the blanket. It turns out that Bruce had been the only one left at the tower because Steve, Nat and Bucky had been called in for a Sheild mission while Sam was away visiting his sister and nephews. Clint was gone too. You had noticed that he disappeared from the tower for a few days every two weeks but you figured it was not your place to ask where he was going. If he wanted you to know he would tell you. Wanda and Vision had left for a short vacation themselves, although their whereabouts are unknown.

That means that none of the others were any the wiser to the fact that you and Tony had been gone for almost a week. Bruce greets the two of you with a big smile, and you soon get back to work.

Tony, Steve and Bruce are congregated around the kitchen island, discussing the mission that Steve had gone on with Bucky and Nat last week while you and Tony were on your secret road trip. Their conversation is interrupted by a loud clasp of thunder, one that they have become accustomed to, all three men turning towards the window in time to see Thor touch down on the balcony. Tony scoffs, muttering under his breath about the scorch marks on his balcony, but quickly stops as they all notice the man accompanying the God of Thunder.

Loki.

Tony slams his left hand down on his watch while raising his right hand, a gauntlet forming over his hand, charged and ready to blast at a moment's notice. And it's pointed right at the God of Mischief.

Thor steps in front of his brother and strides into the tower, ignoring Tony's reaction.

"Man of Iron, Dr. Banner, Captain Rogers! My friends! I have returned," his boisterous voice states way too loudly.

"Thor..." Steve greets cautiously, standing on guard, ready to fight at a moment's notice, while Bruce looks a little green around the edges. The Avengers had been told many times by Thor that Loki had served his time in Asgard and was not under his own control during the attack on New York, but that did not mean that they were not still on edge.

All 5 men stand in silence for a moment, Loki grinning from behind Thor.

"Alright, step out of the way Pointbreak so I can blast Reindeer games his shiny red nose." The sound of the repulsor can be heard charging up even more.

"Stark," Steve warns but does not tell him to put the repulsor away, also weary of the visitor. Thor raises his hand out to the three men, Bruce still trying to focus on staying calm, but sending a death glare Loki's way. Loki smiles wider in response.

"Please calm yourself Man of Iron. I am aware of the miss feelings between Earth and my brother, but he is here at the request of Odin and myself. We have business with one Dr. Strange. He means no harm," Thor states, trying to defuse the situation.
