My daughter is the sweetest child any one can ask for. When she was a little girl she would always sing the sweetest tunes. She is now 16 and wants to see the world. I am afraid the world is alot worse then she knows. I dont want my little girl getting hurt. I have kept her in a tower with no doors and one window. I taught her how to use her hair to help me get in and out of the tower. She never leaves, because I taught her that the world is dark and wild. Everytime I go to my house in the village everyone gives me a glare, or they just turn and run away as fast as they can. I don't want my daughter to have to live with that. If I let her come out of the tower she would get glared at and I would hate for my sweet daughter to go through that torture. My daughter turned 18 yesterday and asked if she could go out to the village and just see what its like. I tried to change her mind by offering her blueberry pie made with fresh blueberries from my garden which are her favorites, but she was determinded to go out into the world. I was tearing up but she wasn't going to budge. I spun around so she couldn't see that I am crying. I didn't want to let my daughter go, but she has the willpower of myself which I won't be able to loose this battle. I turn to face Rapunzel who saw all the tears and she pulled me into a tight hug. It was so powerful that I closed my eyes to keep from crying. "Alright my dear you can go out into the woods but you have to bring me four objects. The cape as red as blood, the cow as white as milk, the hair as yellow as corn, and the slipper as pure as gold." Rapunzel pulled me into an even tighter hug. "Thank you, thank you thank you." I wiped my tears then pulled away and wiped her tears. "I just want you to be happy my dear." She gave me a kiss on the cheek and went to cut two slices of pie for each of us. I must say I make a pretty damn good blueberry pie.
