ONE YEAR LATER...Ro Blake
It's been a year since Dad disappeared and the police have been investigating. Still no good news, and to make it worst they haven't got any clue-not even a single tiny bit of evidence of where Dad could be.
One day, Mom, Scott and I decide to meet the policemen, face to face. I don't know what the hell is going on. It's been one full year and what have they done? Nothing!
"Excuse me officer , I'm Mrs Lilliana Blake and, I'd like to know how far you've gone into my missing husband's case, Nathan Blake."Mom tells the chief police. We are in his very spacious, yet cramped up office. Scott and I stand in silence at either side of Mom, stress of any news invading our minds.
"Mrs Blake, I understand your tension. It's been a year and we still haven't found any trace of your husband. And there's not enough evidence to prove that he's really missing. For all we know, he could be dead now. I am truly, very sorry, but I'm afraid we have to close this case, we've done our best." The police officer says sadly slouching back in the black leather wheeley-chair in front of his table. That is when I completely lose it.
"Done your best? Really? So not finding any evidence is what you call trying your best? "I raise my voice and mom catches my hand in hers to calm me down. "No one knows my dad quite like I do! He's out there somewhere!"
"Miss Blake...I understand this is hard for you, and we really did try to find your dad. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do."He says, shaking his head.
"Well try harder! We'll pay you extra if you want so you can start doing your job properly--" I start to ramble, but Mom cuts me off short. Scott is frozen with shock the whole time.
"Ro, enough. Calm down, you heard them. They can't do anything, we have to find some other way. Excuse my daughter, officer, we'll be leaving."Mom says monotone, trying to stop herself from crying, but me, I can't control myself. I start sobbing into my brother's arm as we walk out of the police station. Mom drives us back home.

"Relax Ro, we'll find Dad. He couldn't have gone far." Scott says, trying to comfort me. I can feel my tears soak his thin shirt."Why are you so relaxed about this?"I sniffle.
"There's a reason and it's because I'm your brother. I'm stronger than you." He says, chuckling a little. I roll my eyes.
"Yeah right." I say sarcastically.
"Ro, I'm as sad as you and Mom are. I have faith that one day, we will find dad and he will come back to us." I nod understandingly. I have the same hope.
"It's just...when is that day coming?"He says in a low voice and I hug him tightly.
"Don't worry kids, we'll find your father soon, we don't need the useless police to find him." Mom says firmly as she's driving.
We reach home and I go straight to my bedroom. I lock myself in, wanting to be left alone for a while. I change into a black tank top and some comfy grey sweatpants. I lie down on my bed with a need for rest. Just then, my phone vibrates and a text from Lucas pops up.
Lucas:
Hey :) Any good news?Me:
No, the police closed the case. Those skanks gave up.Lucas:
Wtf! Don't lose hope Ro, I'm here for you. We'll find your dad, wherever he is. Let's post up posters on the streets tomorrow ok?He always knew how to make me feel better. That's why I love him so much. He actually understands me.
Me: Thanks Lucas, I really hope you're right.
