*Flashback*

“Do I look like a teenager?” Harry asked examining himself in a mirror. I rolled my eyes.

“You’re still basically a teenager. I don’t think anyone will notice you’ve been out of school for a couple years.” I said walking out of the bathroom. We had rented a small apartment in Rome. Tomlinson’s assistant has been working in Rome the last couple of days but we didn’t know why. She had been stopping by the private academy in town every once and a while but again, we had no clue as to why. So instead of this constant watching her from a far, we decided to go straight in. Harry and I we’re now “step siblings” enrolled in the Private Academy of Central Rome. He looked at me quizzically.

“What. Are. You wearing?” he asked me dumbfounded. I had on a half shirt with shorts and some ripped tights on. I tied my ratty old black sneakers and stood up.

“What? I looked up what modern students are wearing these days and this is what the picture looked like!”

“Come on Ana! You look like a slutty skater. At least put on a whole shirt and maybe some real shoes.” He scolded.

“Thanks for the advice mom, but I think I’m fine. Don’t go all gay on me with your so called “fashion sense”.” He scowled at me. “Now leggo! We got some stuff to do.” I grabbed the keys and threw them to him.

We got schedules and started strolling down the hallways.

“Let’s go to our first classes. I’ll meet you at lunch.” He nodded and went in the opposite direction. Let’s go tooooo…History. Dammit. I didn’t even like that when I was in school. Lost in my thoughts, I didn’t even realize I had no idea where I was going. I eventually found the office and looked for help there.  Then I saw her. I dashed behind the door and hid. A small blond girl, maybe 5’3, was talking to Tomlinson’s assistant.

“Mom, I’m fine. You can go back home now.” She whined.

“Okay,” she said hesitantly. “But if you need anything, just call.”

            “I’m not a baby anymore.”

“I know, I know. I’ll see you later sweetie.”

            “Bye.”

Mom? So that girl must be her daughter…

At lunch I searched for Harry everywhere. A large group of girls was surrounding someone. I pushed to the front and saw Harry. I pulled him by his jacket out of the crowd; I got a couple of dirty looks but who cares? They are WAAAAAY too young for Harry.

            “What?” he asked innocently.

“She was here! Her daughter goes to this school. We just have to find her and then we’re golden!”

“Great! Where is she?” I looked around the cafeteria for a second and found her.

“Over there come on.” We walked towards the small blond girl and sat down at her table.

“Hi! I’m…Katie and this is my brother…Ethan. We’re new here and we were wondering if you could show us around?” I said sweetly.

“Uh, sorry, I’m a bit new here too. Can’t help you too much, but I’ll show you everything I do know.” She walked out of the lunchroom and we followed her down the halls.

“So what’s your name?” Harry asked.

            “Lux.” She said simply.

“Interesting name. I think I saw you with your mom here earlier. You guys don’t exactly seem like you’re from around here.”

“I could say the same thing about you two. You don’t even have the same accents, let alone look like each other. How are you siblings?”

“Step siblings.” We both said quickly.

“Um, okaaay. Well yeah we aren’t from here. My mom’s worked moves here around a lot. Her boss is a real jerk. We have to go to Paris soon because of his stupid little sister’s birthday party and my mom needs to be there! I was hoping we could settle here but nooooo!” I looked at Harry. He gave me a look of “I know where we’re going next”.
