"I'm sorry, could you repeat that again?" Pansy stated calmly.
"We kissed... in the gardens..." Hermione repeated, downing the rest of her wine before pouring herself another glass. She hadn't meant for it to come out like that in that way but she had to tell someone. It had been eating at her for months. She had so many questions and she couldn't ask Theo or Blaise. They were his best friends.
"How?" Ginny asked.
"When?" Pansy yelped.
"Tell us everything!" Ginny yelled, smirking and clapping her hands.
"It was after Lyra's birthday party," Hermione started but paused as the waiter came back to the table. Pansy rattled off an order for everyone, practically sending the man away as quickly as she could. Hermione couldn't help but laugh. "I was outside in the gardens with Theo. Theo went inside and Draco came out after getting home from whatever it was he was doing. There was a moment between us... and it just happened."
"This happened back in December and you're just now saying something?" Pansy snapped annoyed.
"What did he say? What does this mean?!" Ginny asked, ignoring Pansy's annoyance.
"He said he wanted to see what it felt like, just once," Hermione sighed. "I don't know what it means. Who kisses someone and then says that?"
"Have you two not discussed this?" Pansy asked, sipping her wine, staring at her friend. She had known that Draco and Hermione seemed to be a bit more intimate in some ways recently, but she had no idea that this was the reason.
"Well... no?" Hermione sighed, running her fingers through her hair. "He walked away after the kiss and never said anything."
"And you haven't confronted him?" Ginny asked, sighing in disbelief. "God Hermione, how have you not asked him to devour you yet?"
"Ginny!" Hermione snapped, wide eyed looking at the redhead.
"Well why haven't you?" Pansy added, clearly taking Ginny's side in the discussion.
"I don't know," Hermione sighed, holding her wine glass. "Maybe he was just... caught up in a moment. Maybe he kissed me and decided that he doesn't want to do it again."
"Or maybe he dying for those lips to be wrapped around his-
"Pansy!" Hermione groaned, closing her eyes.
"What? I'm just saying Granger," Pansy shrugged while sipping her wine. "Draco has been dying to get in between those legs of yours for years."
"You know Hermione had wet dreams about the ferret that final year of Hogwarts." Ginny pointed out smirking at Pansy.
"You don't say?" Pansy's smile grew as she looked at the redhead. "Tell me everything.""Oh absolutely. One time Hermione here had a dream about her and Malfoy on a desk in the potions-"
"The two of you becoming friends is the worst thing that has ever happened to me," Hermione groaned.
"Worse than the time you were petrified?" Ginny asked.
"Worse than when that crazy bitch tortured you?" Pansy offered.
"Worse than when I told you that Harry was hung like a-"
"Please for the love of Godric Gryffindor himself do NOT bring up Harry's appendage while I'm trying to enjoy dinner," Hermione squirmed, covering her ears.
"Oh this I want to hear," Pansy laughed along with Ginny. Thankfully the food arrived shortly after, and the two girls were forced to pause on their conversation, much to Hermione's delight. The topic veered over to Lyra and work. Ginny bragged about her team while Pansy, a new client she was hoping to design for. The food was delicious and her friends entertaining, reminding Hermione that she had in fact missed nights like these. It wasn't until they had left the restaurant and were at the bar, that she remembered just how dangerous her choice in female friends could be. A few drinks later and they were back onto the topic that she had tried so hard to get away from early.
