A/N I'm very sorry about the hiatus but I am planning on continuing this book even if it will have slow updates! I am a bit sick rn and it sucks but I am getting better! What are you guys being for Halloween? I am being Reki!

"Reki! Reki, please wake up!"

Reki woke up suddenly.

"Langa whats wrong?!" He asked, grabbing his shoulders to calm him down. Langa looked him in the eyes, showing his tears and Reki put the pieces together. "I wasn't waking up, was I?" Tears slipped down his cheeks and Langa shook his head.

"I woke up and y-you looked pale so I tried waking you up s-so I could get you some w-water or something but when I shook you, y-you wouldn't respond.. I thought you broke your promise.." He cried. Reki pulled him in for a hug.

"I'm sorry I scared you but I woke up, didn't I? I don't know why I didn't wake up at first but I'm awake and ready for pancakes! What about you?" Langa pulled out of the hug and nodded, not trusting himself to talk without crying again. Reki hopped out of bed, wobbly for a second, but walked out of the room with Langa. "MOM! CAN WE MAKE PANCAKES?" Reki shouted, knowing his mom was awake, just in her room.

"Sure, honey! Just be careful alright! Is Langa with you, I don't want you cooking alone! Can you make some for your sisters as well?" She shouted back.

"Sure! Do you want any!" He shouted back, not as loud.

"No but can you make some tamagoyaki?"

"Sure!" Langa looked at him, silently asking for directions. "The pans are down there, ingredients are in the fridge and pantry over there, utensils are in that drawer, and aprons are over here!" Reki pointed out everything.

"Ok.. Should I do pancakes or tamagoyaki? I've only made it a few times but I'm pretty good at it." Langa asked.

"You can make pancakes since I've never made those before and I'll help after I'm done with my mom's breakfast! Is that alright?" Reki said. Langa gave him a small nodded and started searching for ingredients after putting on an apron. Reki took eggs out of the fridge and cracked them into a bowl before beating them while his friend took out the flour, sugar, salt, butter, baking soda, an egg, oil, and milk, putting them all on an empty counter and took out a bowl.

"Wow, do pancakes need all those things?" Reki asked while pouring some of the egg into the rectangular pan, looking at the almost full counter.

"Yeah. They're really good in the end though, right? Do you have maple syrup?" Langa asked.

"Yeah, we barely use it though." Reki said, gesturing over to the pantry. Langa nodded and mixed all of the ingredients he poured into the bowl.

"This is nice." He said. He felt calmer than he did a little while ago and was having fun baking with Reki.

"It is. should we show the end results to Joe? Maybe he would like to see our cooking! He shows us his sometimes, so why shouldn't we show ours?" Reki exclaimed, now excited about showing off his and Langa's creations. After rolling the egg and adding more he finished the cooking and slid it onto a plate with some fruit he brought out a little bit earlier.

"Yeah that seems nice. If you're done, would you like to help me flip some pancakes? It's pretty easy." Langa asked. Reki nodded excitedly and rushed next to him. "So you just watch for the bubbles on the edge to stop popping and then you dig your spatula under it and quickly flip it over." He demonstrated with one of the pancakes.

"Ok so like this?" Reki asked. He dug the spatula under one of the pancakes that were ready and flipped it. He didn't get it to stay on the spatula so it splatted down and smeared the griddle with pancake batter. Langa gave a quick chuckle and looked at Reki.

"That was actually pretty good for your first try! And the smeared batter with just make a small crispy extra which are usually pretty good!" Langa praised. Reki smiled at him, weakly. He was getting tired. "I can finish these up if you're finished?" Langa asked. He noticed the tiredness in Reki's eyes and didn't want him standing for much longer.

"I'm alright! I'll bring my mom her tamagoyaki if you want to take over though!" Reki said, already walking over to the plate that was surprisingly still warm.

"No need, sweetheart. How is the cooking going?" Mrs. Kyan walked down the stairs, into the kitchen. Reki looked at her and gave her a small smile. "Reki, you're pushing your limits. Sit down and me and Langa and finish the cooking. You can sit the table and watch if you really want." The auburn haired woman ordered.

"Fine.." Reki said and sat down but still watched them move around the kitchen. Langa eventually got a good heap of pancakes on a plate and set them on the table with some syrup, peanut butter, and other toppings.

"Everyone! Breakfast is ready!" Mrs. Kyan announced and Chihiro, Nanaka, and Koyomi came downstairs to see their brother and his "definitely not boyfriend" talking at the table, Langa's apron still on.

"So, Reki.. Did you dream at all last night?" Koyomi asked. It was a small daily thing they did to share each others dreams since a small skill they had was they could remember their dreams very well.

"No it was a pretty dreamless sleep. What about you?" Reki asked as they took a bite of pancake.

"I had a few weird dreams and one nightmare. The two dreams I remember were one of a beach and we were all scuba diving and I saw a very pretty jellyfish! I could talk to it and it said I could ride it so we went on this fun sea adventure with Mom and the twins! The second dream was we were all living in a parking garage that we bought but it looked awesome! You graffitied on it which looked really cool and there were a lot of blankets and outlets and we each had our own floor to do what we wanted with it. The nightmare happened right after the parking garage because we were still living in it but people didn't care so they drove their cars in it and ran us all over..." Koyomi hesitantly said. Reki looked up and slightly chuckled at Langas face. They never really shared their dreams around him so it was new for him to hear about these things.

"That's a very interesting dream." Reki said taking a final bite of the pancake he had.

"You guys remember your dreams?" Langa asked. Him and Koyomi made eye contact.

"Yeah it's a small thing we've had since we were little. Sometimes it's nice but sometimes, like when we have nightmares, it's not as nice. We've learned to cope with the nightmares by sharing them but now we mostly just share all of our dreams and make fun of our nightmares." She explained.

"I'm going to get dressed for the day." Reki said and got up. Langa shot him a worried look but didn't stop him. Everyone continued eating until they heard a thump.

"REKI!"
