Once upon a time there lived a troll; he lived among the humans and creatures in a magical land. Though he was different even among the elves, fairies and dwarfs, he found a way to fit in. Through the hard years he finally met a young beautiful girl. They traveled to a magical lake where the magical waters turned the troll into his true form, a Man! Now his real journey begins as he fights to keep family, friends and love in his life. These are the Adventures of Sir Dexter.
We join our young heroes on their way down from the magical lake. Heading back to their home where they know many will be surprised to see Dexter this way. As they head down the mountain Castalia asks…
“you know!? I never knew your real name… I always called you what everyone called you… troll. What is your real name?”
He answered, “I guess I never noticed because I got so used to the name that I made it my own name. well my real name is Dexter.”
“Dexter huh? Humm… I like it! it fits your new self.”
Castalia slips from a crumbling rock and screams. As if on instinct, Dexter grabs her and pulls her back into his arms. As the rest of the rocks slides down the mountain she opens her eyes to see Dexter holding her and looking right at her. She blushes and says,
“Thanks…”
Dexter guides her to the safer side of the trail and says, “It was my pleasure. Wouldn’t want you going back in pieces. Are you bleeding!?” Dexter stops and looking at Castalia’s feet. They were bleeding from her shoes. Stunned Castalia says,
“it’s nothing really! I didn’t even notice it…”
Dexter pulls out some cloth and some healing potion and starts to bandage the wound. “This is nothing? Wow you’re a strong girl”
“What you think I’m weak!? I’m not weak! I’m just clumsy at times…” She said feeling insulted.
“I never said you were weak. Just stating that I didn’t think you were that strong.” Dexter smiles as he finishes and helps her up.
She stumbles a bit on her first step. So he grabs her and starts carrying her down the mountain. At first she was surprised that he’s actually carrying her and that he was able to carry her. As they make their way down the mountain and her blushing fades she finally says,
“You know I could have walked. I’m amazed you can carry me too.”
Dexter smiles and says “I used to be a troll, remember. I still got the strength in me. As for carrying you… it’s the least I can do since you brought me here, not to mention you turned me into a human. Plus your bleeding, wouldn’t want it to get worse.”
“Worse!? How!? My foot falling off?” Castalia said sarcastically
“Yes! You never know!” Dexter also said sarcastically, they both laughed. Castalia looked at Dexter and said,
“You know… I didn’t do anything. It was that lake. I heard rumors that that lake dispels curses. I thought it was just a story to get us to get out of the house, but I guess it was true. I mean look at you.”
Dexter looked puzzled, thinking for a bit he looked at her trying to read her eyes. Then he said,
“Who would want to put a curse on me? Especially at such a young age that I couldn’t even remember being a human? Its not like I’m special or something right?”
They both thought about it wondering what was ahead as they headed home. Not knowing what the future will hold but knowing as long as they had each other then maybe… just maybe they can make it through. But who or what cursed Dexter? Why would they do it? and how would everyone react when they got back home?
