Percy

Percy hated moving houses.

Moving houses meant leaving friends behind, if any.

It also meant that he had to make new friends(not that he minds), but it became increasingly hard to do so as time passed. By the time he barged in in the middle of the school year, everyone had already formed their own cliques and pairs-no one was willing to take him in.

Throw in the fact that he had a mild case of ADHD; it certainly was not helping. For some reason, not many liked the way he would fidget frequently.

So when he heard that this move was the last, that they were going to stay put for a few good years, he had conflicting feelings.

Well, he thought, at least I get to stay put for the entire Highschool life. I have more time to make friends. He attempted to have a positive outlook as he cleaned his room. This house that he was soon leaving was by far the nicest one yet, out of the previous many. Before, he had stayed in a tiny studio apartment which barely fit the entire family and almost had him feeling claustrophobic. Gradually though, his mothers' work started to pick up and she had began to earn more money.

Now, the house had at least 3 rooms aside from the living room and kitchen. And a small yard outside.

He packed his few items, said goodbye to the neighbors' dog and headed down to the light blue van stationed just beyond the borders of the narrow yard. His mother was already waiting in the drivers' seat for him, humming and tapping the steering wheel.

"You're going to like the new house." She informed him confidently as he climbed into the passenger seat.

And they drove off.

Jason

The sun crept out lazily. It was a new dawn, a new day.

Jason was posing in front of the bathroom mirror, checking out his blonde hair and making sure that he looked 'perfect', as what many girls would swoon and tell him. He didn't really appreciate the scar on his upper lip, but others would regard it as 'Awesome!'. Weird people. It was just going to be another day at school of being in the 'cool kids' clique bossing and bullying nerds and losers.

He never really got tired of the same activity though. It was fun to see the humiliated expressions etched on their bruised, beaten up faces. Jason disliked the expressions these people wore at school. Some had the overly tense and serious look, others depressing. Why couldn't these people just chill? He could never understand.

Finally he left the bathroom and headed for school.

"Hey man, you heard? There's going to be a new kid in our class. Dunno if it's a girl or a guy. If it's a girl I hope she's hot.." One of the guys in the clique, Leo, rattled on to the rest as they waited for class to begin.

"No one would be hotter than me," a girl, Piper, giggled as she painted her nails.

The entire clique rolled their eyes, save for Jason, but they knew she was right. She was the hot. She had beautiful tanned skin, iris that was like a kaleidoscope of brown, green and blue which ensnared the attention of whoever looked at her. And that included Jason. It was hard to look away and focus on something else the moment one gazed her way.

The other girl in the clique, Rachel, was another beautiful lady with her redhead, but had eccentric taste. Her dressing was different from most people and her way of doing things too. However, her personality mashed with her eclectic taste had people regarding her highly. After all, it was hard to replicate her originality.

Jason chuckled, earning a blush and a playful slap on the shoulder from Piper. Leo and Rachel watched their exchange and commented in sync.

"Ah, the married couple is at it again."

This got the duo's attention. Jason laughed lightly and shook his head. He looked at Piper but what reflected in his eyes was merely a little sister. Unbeknownst to him, the entire student population of Half-Blood Highschool had already labelled them an item.

Piper believed it too.

The bell rang and Ms Todds, the homeroom teacher, walked in on the dot. She cleared her throat.

"Good morning, today we have a new student joining us. I hope you all welcome him warmly." She motioned her hand at the door.

"Him". So it's a guy.

Jason eyed the door. If 'he' turned out to be like of those depressing losers, 'he' will be receiving a very warm welcome.

Percy

He hesitated at the door, reluctant to go into the classroom. His hair was long and shaggy-but just reaching the bottom of his ears and touching the collar behind- with bedhead hair at the back. His clothes weren't ironed, and he had eyebags sagging like an old lady's boobs. He had arrived at his house the day before and was too nervous to fall asleep at night.

He swept his long fringe down in an attempt to cover his eye bags and ambled anxiously in.

"Hello, I-I'm erm. My name is Percy Jackson." He stuttered.

Peeking from behind the curtain of a fringe, he made out the raised eyebrows and curious looks of his new classmates. Then, he saw four of them sitting at the back. It was quite obvious that they were the popular clique, seeing as how they stood out from the rest.

He saw the one and only empty seat right in front of the blonde in the clique and frowned at the thought of having to sit near them. Sitting with people who stood out a lot just made him more nervous and fidgety.

The blonde seemed to notice Percy's discontented and depressive aura, raising an eyebrow the moment Percy frowned. Percy looked away and decided to face the teacher instead for the allocation of his seat.

He was interrupted by an abrupt fist to his left cheek. Percy stumbled and clenched his cheek, turning to look at his perpetrator.

It was the blonde.
