Tokoyami woke up alone in an isolated room. When trying to say Koji's name, all that answered was an echo. He vaguely remembered having to fight each other, it reminded him of the UA sports festival. The nostalgia was probably what made him lose the fight.....probably. He suspects that Koji might have used Anivoice to win but, he doesn't quite know. Whatever the case may be it would seem the victor was Koji. Tokoyami accepts his fate as he sits down on the ground and draws images with his finger. The non-existent lines overlap on the concrete floor creating this imaginary scribble. Tokoyami thinks, thinking has its consequences, he learned that a long time ago. While it helps others and yourself get out of situations and ideas for group activities, however, thoughts can also hurt yourself. Tokoyami has thought about things he deeply regrets, how he'd do things differently, what if's, scenarios, whatever to distract him from his own problems. He, as hard as it is, stops himself going down that rabbit hole again, he's been told many times that he has nothing to regret because he was "too young to regret his actions" or "you're so young! You don't have any problems! You're making shit up for attention" it didn't help him that his mom would brush off the fact he needed psychological and mental help, he only could vent himself to whoever would listen to him. Which would mostly be Koji.

He's used to people hurting and leaving him. It's happened to him a worryingly amount of times. Tokoyami decides to break his thoughts and focus on something else. Maybe listening to his surroundings?

..........drip............
.................drip................
..........................drip..................

The room sounds like it has some plumbing issues. He takes a deep breath and can taste the smell of the copper in the pipes. It's a side effect of him being a bird, birds don't really have a great sense of smell. He could only smell something if he's right in front of the source of the scent or if the smell was overwhelming enough. But here's the strange part, he's no where near the pipes or the wall, at least he thinks he isn't. Tokoyami takes a step forward and his foot steps in something thick, his foot sinks down into something with a loud and disturbing squelching noise. He can feel the substance leaking in his shoes and making his socks wet. An unpleasant feeling washes over him and a chill runs down his spine. He looked down and saw darkness. He somehow forgotten that he was surrounded by darkness. He'd touch it to inspect the substance but something in his mind screamed at him not to. And every part of him screamed at him to take his shoes off, but he reluctantly ignored that voice in his head.

He was going to go near the dripping noise but he's now frozen in place. It's felt like hours since he left that spot, realistically though it's probably been around 20 minutes or something. Tokoyami decided to brave forward and continue to his goal. Again hearing more squelching noises and feeling more of the unknown substance staining his feet. He made it around 12 feet from where he was when he felt his foot slam into something hard and it went through his foot. Biting his tongue he moved forward. Tokoyami tried to feel around for a wall or anything but burned his hand in the process. He stumbled back and landed on his butt with an oof sound. Tokoyami felt something break underneath him. He was too scared and too shocked to acknowledge it. Instead he kept trying to tell himself everything was okay. Trying to convince himself not to get a panic attack. He needed someone, anyone there with him. He knows if he brings out Dark Shadow he most likely is going to loose control of him.

In his weakened state Dark Shadow made its way out and became one with the darkness surrounding Tokoyami. The darkness around him became thicker than a blanket, it suffocated him a bit. He could feel Dark Shadow pressing his hands (wings?) around his throat and squeezing it hard. Tokoyami didn't struggle. This isn't the first time he tried to choke himself to unconsciousness though he feels this will be the first and last time he'll feel deaths fingertips graze his soul.
He breathes out for the last time. And feels his body perish. His last thought. Revelry in the dark......

(Hello everyone! Happy new year! I'll be honest with you guys, I gave up on what to write for this chapter. I might rewrite it to something better. But let me tell you I had a couple ideas how I wanted to write this but I either completely forgot or kept trying to mix them together. Hopefully he 2022 is a better year for all of you!)
