"Counterclockwise."

Jimin huffs and does the potion again. "You know, you're teaching me potions, why don't I teach you quidditch?" Jimin offers the girl.

She uses her hand to lower his elbow, guiding him to stir the pot. "You're the dumbest Slytherin I've ever met," she says.

"You're the uh... weirdest Gryffindor I've ever met," he tries, but even he knows how weak he sounds.

"You tried," she replies, giving his shoulder a small nudge.

Jimin's not entirely sure if they're 'dating' or just 'more than friends with benefits' or what. All he knows is that their enemy dynamic is interesting now. They're still rude and playful, but never so rude that they're demeaning or hurtful. "And no, I don't want to learn quidditch from you," she finally answers, "I'd rather learn it from Yoongi."

"He doesn't even play it."

"Exactly." Jimin softly snickers and keeps swirling the potion, humming as he does so. "You know, your voice isn't that bad. Maybe you should try singing," she says.

"Gee, thanks. I feel the love L/n."

She chuckles and looks at what he's doing. "Hmm you're getting there. Stir a hair slower."

Jimin does as he's told, the smell of cherry blossoms hitting him. "Woah. Is it working?"

"Yeah, looks like you're finally getting the hang of it greenie."

He scoffs, "Do you feel the need to make me uncomfortable with that name?"

She smirks, "Always." Right after the word passes her tongue, she winks. Oh lord he's in love with her.

"Thanks for helping me practice. I appreciate it," Jimin says.

Y/n nods and keeps her lips pursed, focusing her attention back to her potion. There's a few seconds of silence. Then, she sighs. "Can I ask you something?"

Jimin leans back in his chair, "Sure."

"Why didn't you tell me you had feelings for me before? Why did you do the whole friends with benefits things with me?"

He laughs, "Y/n, it was never friends with benefits, at least not to me. Whenever I fucked you I kept thinking that I'm the only one who gets you this way. I kept thinking about you being my only woman, and me being your only man. I always knew we were more than that."

"Then why didn't it feel like it?" she whispers.

Jimin leans forward and brushes some hair out of her face. "I'm sorry I didn't make you feel like royalty. You deserve to feel that way all the time. I'm sorry I'm not good with saying my feelings. That's why I want to have sex with you so much... to show how much I care. To give you pleasure and love when I can't say it."

She pecks his cheek, softly smiling. "Don't apologize for how you are, I only want to make sure you're okay. Plus, it's a two-way street, I could've spoke up too. I don't think we've ever talked about feelings before, have we?"

He shakes his head, "Never."

She hums and pulls back, going to her potion and mixing it. "Then let's start now. How are you feeling?"

He smiles at her, "Happy."

"Why?"

"Because I'm with you." She takes a moment to glance at him, returning his smile, then she looks at her potion again. "How about you?" he asks, a little nervous.

"I'm pretty happy too."

Jimin looks her up and down, frowning after. Is she really? There's one thing that's bothered him for a long time now. They've been rivals for years, but she's never mentioned two people in her life who you'd assume are really important. "I've never heard you talk about your parents," he starts. She goes stiff. "Where are they?"

Y/n puts down her kit and looks at him, dusting her hands off. "They're not here or gone. Kind of in between. They've done some pretty fucked up shit in their past, so they're in Azkaban. I came here to finish my studies since they've been away since I was young. I don't like to talk about them too much."

Jimin frowns, "I'm sorry I brought it up then."

She shakes him off, "It's not a big deal, I figured we'd have to talk about it eventually. It's a big part of my past. They were uh... they were apart of... the Daunted." Jimin feels all his air leave his body.

"Like - the Daunted that was led by Chantelle? The Daunted that almost destroyed our home?"

Y/n sighs and nods, "They were higher-ups for him. That's why I haven't seen them in ten years. When I got here, Jungkook was the only one who really reached out to me. He was and still is my best friend."

Jimin feels a twinge of guilt now. Poor girl doesn't have parents, just like him. "I'm so sorry. Losing a family is hard."

"They aren't my family. My family is all around me. If I lose that family... that's when I'd go crazy." She meets his heavy stare and leans closer, placing a hand over his on the table. His heart flutters at the small action. "I'm sorry about your family," she whispers, "I know you said that they're gone. I don't mean to bring up a hard subject, but I want you to know you're not alone." Jimin can't resist: he kisses her softly. It's such a soft, delicate kiss that drives his insides mad. Every single vein inside him is hyperventilating being this close to her. Jimin smiles into it, bringing her as close as he can in a classroom.

When he realizes that they're still in public, he pulls away, giving her a kind look. "I know I don't say it too much but... thank you," he mumbles.

She pecks his lips one last time, "You're welcome." They go back to doing their own things, a comfortable silence hanging over them. Jimin even finds himself smiling. Yes - the Park Jimin is smiling over something so simple. The giddiness in his chest is honestly starting to hurt as he keeps working on his potion.

"Can we go on a date?" Y/n suddenly asks.

"A date? While at school?"

"There's always Hogsmeade."

"Sure... want to get some butterbeer and walk around?"

"I'd love to," she hums, giving his shoulder a small nudge. Oh fuck he's so in love. He knows it's cliché, but his heart is pounding against his chest. It's starting to hurt - similar to the giddiness he feels. Jimin stares at her side profile while she purses her lips, reading through the recipe one more time. She's the most gorgeous woman he's ever laid his eyes on. Why didn't he realize this sooner?

A grin graces his lips as he watches. She's completely oblivious to his gaze - or at least he thinks she is. That is until she turns to meet it. "You know, staring at me won't score you a second date or a kiss."

He places his forehead on hers. "But will kissing you out of nowhere score me another kiss?"

She chuckles and gives his shoulder a squeeze. "Only if you mean it."

He kisses her for a few seconds, meeting her eyes again when they part. "Y/n?" She nods. "Every time I kiss you I mean it. Every single time."
